Yeah 400FPS is too much for an AEG. Not really;I think it is too much for someone's first/only AEG though. Once people have more than one gun, or are responsible enough and understand the restrictions that may come with a gun that fast, a 400FPS gun could be very handy... *contemplates upgrading AUG to 400FPS ;D* Hado: I have read about that new Triple Rail P90, but those are the first pics I've seen of it.....Very nice!

Does that pic look like the result of responsible players? And where is the signed written statement that says what speed the gun that did that was shooting at? Until I find out the true history of that pic, which has been posted in many threads around the airsoft sites, I won't say anymore about it. BTW, I don't think posting that pic is a good idea in a thread about starting out in airsoft....It's not the kind of image we need associated with airsoft either.

Yes I read your post, I thought you might play that card, but my friend Dan has his M4A1 upgraded to 350 FPS and he is a fairley mature player but still gets out of hand sometimes with his gun. I'm just saying I wouldnt like to be stairing down the barrel of a 400FPS gun no matter how responsible the player is.

Once again I quote myself: are responsible enough and understand the restrictions that may come with a gun that fast If he "gets out of hand" that's NOT responsible behavior! We can go on and on like this forever, so let's just end it here. I'm not replying anymore on this issue to you SiCk, as it would be like smashing my head into a wall repeatedly. Nice touch editing out the pic you posted before too, but I'm leaving my follow up post as-is, even if it no longer makes any sense.

looks like airsooft extreme has a good deal on an ak-47 with battery, charger, discharger,hi cap magazine, couple thou bbs, and they pay shipping. all for $425 i think thats the way iill go. be a week or 2 though. now all i need will be $340 for a metal body and wood set. and i will be set. I don't know how anybody else feels, but you call that a good deal ? Hell, at www.airsoftshop.com, you can get an AK-47 with battery and charger for $243 then a hicap mag is only $42.50, and you can get a couple thou of bbs for 10 bucks. Thats $295.50 and shipping won't be more than $70, that was the shipping cost of my AK, extra mag, battery and bbs, and I think their shipping costs have dropped. So, at the very most, you would be paying $365.50, and about the discharger, you can use christmas lights or any other power draining things. I have to add that they have quick shipping too, I bought upgraded parts from them a week ago, and it only to about 4 weekdays. Of what I have seen, Airsoft Extreme is pretty pricey, I, personally, like to stay away from them . Hopefully its not too late and you haven't bought it yet!

Well, by purchasing from Airsoft Extreme (or any other US retailer), he may be spending a few extra bucks, but he doesn't have to worry about customs seizing his gun (ask Sickpointe) , and he is also helping to support Airsoft in the US. In a few years, I would like to be able to still have US retailers around that I could purchase stuff from, that wont be the case is no one is buying from them. Enough US dollars are going out of this country as it is. BTW, go with mdairsoft.com or www.airsofttoys.com, they are a lot closer than AE and their prices are cheaper.

Customs won't sieze the guns, if the marking are kept off and it has an orange tip; all standard when shipped to America from overseas.
Edit: Plus airsoft shop has a refund policy for any guns that are confiscated when going through customs. If the markings are taken off and it has orange on the barrel and it gets siezed or whatever, you get your money back. You still don't need to worry though, I haven't talked to anyone who has had a gun siezed at customs.

Hehehe well there Duncan have a seat and I'll tell you a tale... Twas the night before Thanksgiving and all through the house, my entire family was sturing even the mouse! And as I sat at my computer looking at my order form with my hand on the mouse and my dad's credit card in the other... I click send funs (ok screw the rhymes) and I cant wait for the gun! Two months pass... CUSTOMS SENDS NOTICE "We have destroyed your toy look alike gun!" I sent Eddie an e-mail and he was kind enough to send me a second package and it go through ok. It was California Customs so maybe YOUR customs is nicer, but they never even returned my calls:( Poor, poor XM...

Duncan, did you think I was just making it up? I have nothing else to say. Check around the other larger forums, you will find many tales of seized guns. To a lot of people, it is worth the extra 5-10% to not have to wrry about that. Also, what happens when you get your gun, open it up, and it does nothing? You have to pay to ship it back to HK. There goes your savings and then some. Hado knows about this, his gun from HK broke shortly after recieving it. Luckily, a LOCAL US retailer was able to get him what he needed to fix it pretty cheap. If he had bought it locally to begin with, it wouldn't have cost him at all. I will always buy from US retailers, where I know I have options if something goes wrong, the gun is already in the country so I know customs will not sieze it, and I am keeping my money in the US, helping to support Airsoft in the US.

well, i'm with you 1098213740912837.7867%, Locutus. ;D even if the money does mostly find it's way back overseas, by purchasing from a US retailer, we ensure that they stay in business....and that we help support airsoft in the US. Personally, i'd rather give my cash to Francois of airsofttoys or Brian of mdairsoft than send it to Den or Redwolf. Keep it local, guys...support your countrymen.
