What are your thoughts on highcaps, Do you like them or not?? Sure they hold more BB's but in the time you have to wind them you could be shooting with a standard mag. What do u like best, a few standards or a highcap???

For most games, std. mags are the way to go. I know it's inconvenient to have to switch out mags, but it adds more to the realism factor over winding a hi-cap. That reason, and the fact that std. mags don't rattle and make noise are why I've got 4 standad mags for my usual loadout. Except for big games, like Wolverine Fury, where the C-Mag comes out.

I am a huge fan of standards (8 total) for my M4, no rattle, crossover training, etc...

i started as a hicap lover...but the noise just begins to work against you once the game has started. i dove in and bought 8 standards last month, and i can't say that i regret the purchase. in fact, i'm considering buying another 4-5 standards and another couple M-14 double pouches to max my load.

I changed my outlook when I saw how much time and energy was saved by just pouring bbs into a hicap mag. I was very much against hicaps for over a year and a half and then, poof, I didn't care. They work for me.

I believe Hi-Caps are ok to use... but yes the rattling and the winding can get annoying at times; but overall, I would prefer standards because they are more realistic, I like having to reload during skirmishes... but that's just me. ;D

I went the exact opposite way as Newman did. I started out with hicaps because they were more economical. 200 rounds (mp5) for $5 more than 50 rounds, where's the choice? Then i figured i'd give standards a shot and just ended up liking them better, for whatever reason. I just like using them, couldn't say why exactly. Maybe i just got them to fill the extra space in my vest, who knows. Whatever you go with, let it be your choice. Some people like hicaps, some like standards. Either way, just don't hose unless you're the support dude *wags finger*

Woa I didnt expect the replies would be this one sided, I got one person out of seven that likes highcaps better than standards, and this was posted at around 9:30-10:00.

I'll stick up for high caps, the fact that it is a much more economical buy, espeacially for the airsofter on a budget (like me) in my opinion out way the negative aspects that high caps may present. Although I'll probably be getting a couple of standards eventually for the G3.

To all of you guys that use standards for realism this is my take on that one: I'd rather be alive than realisitic And also how can you argue with 600 rds vs. 70rd ? Sting

easy. if you need 600 rounds to do the job of 70...you can't play worth shit.

Hey, if you really want realism, you only load your standard mags with 30 rounds. I'd be totally cool with that if I had more than 2 mags. As it is, I bought a hi-cap to "bridge the gap" until I can get enough standard or G&P 130 mags to cover me for an entire game.

I like high caps they aren't realistic at all but they are cheaper then getting multiple standard mags.

Sting, in the time it takes to sit there winding a highcap and most likely giving away your possition you could be finishing up a game and shooting Foes. DUUUUURRRRR
