I used to use a Flakjak and Ironface combo. Let me just say, uncomfortable. If you go crazy on padding, then the bridge of your nose will hurt less, but it's still a pain. It also leaves a small gap between the nose and the goggle, which is big enough for a BB. JT goggles work well with an Iron face though, although you still have that damned nose issue.
OD does go well with woodland MARPAT
If you're speaking Designated Marksman (Didn't read the thread), then I would advise against something large. A chest rig or an RRV would be best.

Yeah, I've heard several complaints on how the iron face feels over extended periods of time, so I guess I won't get them. I guess I will switch from desert to woodland, since we are in Michigan As for the lower half face mask, what should I get? Sometime along the lines of OD green would be nice, as now I have to buy a pair of foliage green flakjaks :/

Also on top of goggles, what type of .25 BBs should I buy? I've been looking at elite force .25's and KWA BBs, also might buy some bioval BBs from bulkairsoftammo.

I've always used Airsoft Elite BBs. Airsoft Mechanics published a mega bb review which appears to have been recently taken down. In the review Airsoft Elite had the best results of the easily obtainable bbs. BBs like Marushins SGM obviously were better, but those are in a whole 'nother category. EDIT: Here's an old post with links I found. Looks like nothing works anymore... miairsoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=2992

I found a report from 2008 that analyzed, very scientifically, a ton of brands and weights of bbs. It focuses on density and spherical consistency, which are the greatest factors affecting a bb's performance. airsoftinformations.blogspot.com/2009/12/bb-comparison-report.htmlIt's 50 pages of science written for the general public. I'm working my way through it now. EDIT: Here's a link straight to the pdf.

Since you are going for a DM setup, I would recommend a Two-Piece MAV by Tactical Tailor. It may be a tad pricy, but it's low profile, made in the USA, and you can unclip it if you are going to be prone for long periods of time. Here is a link: www.skdtac.com/Tactical-Tailor-MAV-2-Piece-p/ttr.131.htmOh, and I would recommend Magnum boots. I have a pair and I love them, and my dad has gone through like 10 pairs of them at his work, and he loves them too. Again, a bit expensive, but worth it in the end.
