1. Yes! 2. End of April. My "Spring" break is in Feb(!) and I'm all done with exams and everything the week of April 22nd. 3. 2 4. Most likey just me, maybe one buddy. 5. Motel 6. Yep 7. But of course. 8. Nope. 9. Capable is such a strong word ;D I'd say I'm semi-capable. 10. Yes, but I don't think my baby would like getting shot at! home.attbi.com/~e-sak/Dcp_0086.jpg11. mmmmmm YES! So far my schedule isn't meshing too well with everyone else For some odd reason my school thinks Feb. is Spring time, so my break is at the end of that month. Anytime after April 22nd-24th will be completely free since I'll be done with school for the year8)

1 - Would you come to TC for a wknd of airsoft in the Spring? you're darn tootin! 2 - What period of time is best? some weekend in april/may. 3 - 1.5 or 2 days? 2...for sure. 4 - Would you bring family & friends (i.e. - a ride for you, a vac for them)? friends...prolly...more airsofters with AEG's... or maybe some springer cannon fodder. ;D 5 - Would you prefer camping or staying in a motel? Camping! i can see two camps of guys on opposite ends of the property...one group attacks the other's base camp...a night action ensues....ohhhh yes. 6 - Would you be willing to chip in $5 - $10 for a nice BBQ and group snacks & NA bevs? Sure! 7 - Would you like a raffle? If you don't mind providing the prizes. 8 - Do you own a GPS? nope. 9 - Capable with maps & compass? fairly. i can read maps...and i can use a compass to determine direction and position in relation to landmarks...but i can't determine location by stars or such... 10 - Do you mtn bike and would you bring it to use in battle (hehehe, the mind is running in high gear gang!)? hehe...i have one...but i wouldn't be that fast on it... 11 - Do you like the idea of a "mission" that becomes a set of skirmishes? oh yes... D-Day...Maginot line attacks...raiding enemy secret documents....that's what airsoft is all about...the scenarios...

WOOHOO!! We definitely have enough player possibilities now, so we'll (NATF) begin planning this event with even more intensity. I'll contact DNR & local law next week and verify use of the area. The event will (must) occur before 4/20/02, because from that date on for 6 weeks my Sats. are busy with soccer. We'll try to get you a firm date as soon as we can. NATF has discussed getting together this wknd. to discuss initial planning.
Gentlemen.....LOCK & LOAD. 8) ;D

According to Yahoo Maps, it's 240.4 miles and will take about 5 hours 3mins to get there. Quite a trip, but I know Jackstraw will make it all worth it. click here map

It usually takes me 4 hours to get to Troy from here. A2 is about the same. Once you hit I75 is pretty good sailin'.
NATF is meeting Sun to discuss planning, scenarios, and try to nail down a date. As it stands now it looks like 16 ro 18 players. Tell ya' what - we'll release some of the skirmish ideas, and keep others under wraps. As well, suggestions are welcome, but lets not post them to this thread (perhaps a skirmish idea section is needed?).
We will do everything we can to make this worthwhile and fun. 1/2 of it is the participants though, so when ya come up have your happy, smiley killer dispositions on.

Ill be driving my family’s suburban. If we want to car pool I can take up to 5 comfortably. I can take up to... 7 if two want to kick back and relax in the back of the suburban. I suggest that we carpool as a group. Basically one car follows another like partners that way if someone breaks down they don’t have to walk X amount of miles.

NATF met today and we have a date, a "duty roster" and planning has officially begun. We are waiting to hear back from Hado on some things, then we/I will post an update with all the really cool new info.
Just so you all know, we would like to use Hado as a watchdog over us and some of our plans. Not that we can't be trusted, but $$ will need to be paid, reservations/registrations for the event made & confirmed, and (hopefully) prizes purchased and raffled off. I/we want to make sure the forum has someone we answer to and that knows what we are doing - a comfort thing for you folks. Here's a "leak" of some things we've discussed......
Raffle - open to all, drawn at OPB, watched over by Hado, 2 guns, accessories, door prizes, etc.....
Skirmish scenrios - The Mission, Black Hawk Down, Wild-Wild Northwest, War Correspondent (each side has one armed with cameras and radio, can't be shot, but can provide intelligence) and more to come.
Rules - sensible and something we can all live with, but we will be strictly enforcing them and hopefully they will be used at future skirmishes (continuity is good, and easy).
Lodging - camping won't work (cold, wet, nasty, parks still closed?), we are looking into *cheap* motels.
BBQ & Snacks - simple, but yummy and on site during first day of skirmish.
Travel - come up on Fri, leave by mid-afternoon on Sun.
Location & Approvals - contacting LEO & DNR next wk.
Once Hado gets back in touch, then there should be official announcements.

Hey there Ace - great to hear from another Nor MI airsofter. Welcome to the forum, and thanks for your interest in the skirmish. Glad to hear you're bringing some friends to the skirmish. Keep in mind that all players will need to register for this skirmish in advance, as space will be limited. They can do that online, or if they lack access, you can take care of it for them. Info regarding reg for the skirmish will be posted later this weekend.
