Some questions to see if I'm wasting my/our time on planning a skirmish wknd in Traverse City for the Spring. I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. reply simply by ques # and then answer. Some of the questions may seem strange, but I have some very cool ideas for an awesome wknd for you folks - with the adventure starting the minute you reach TC. Only the Northern Task Force (ooh, me likes that name) will know the details. Here's a hint though....you will not meet us or know what we look like til you meet us on the battefield (muhahaha). Here we go.... 1 - Would you come to TC for a wknd of airsoft in the Spring? 2 - What period of time is best? 3 - 1.5 or 2 days? 4 - Would you bring family & friends (i.e. - a ride for you, a vac for them)? 5 - Would you prefer camping or staying in a motel? 6 - Would you be willing to chip in $5 - $10 for a nice BBQ and group snacks & NA bevs? 7 - Would you like a raffle? 8 - Do you own a GPS? 9 - Capable with maps & compass? 10 - Do you mtn bike and would you bring it to use in battle (hehehe, the mind is running in high gear gang!)? 11 - Do you like the idea of a "mission" that becomes a set of skirmishes? Some addl. info..... 1 - I/We will not waste your time having you come up here. Those of us up here in TC will do everything we can to make this a very memorable experience. 2 - I would like to wait until the snow is GONE and there are some nice (not necessarily warm) days. Will also make camping more pleasant. You would not be camping at the skirmish site, sorry. 3 - 2 days would cover a wknd (come up on a Fri maybe) and still give you time to get home. 4, 5, 6 - Self-explanatory 7 - Raffle prizes would be simple to moderate (BB's, gas, maybe a handgun or a Benelli Shorty) 8, 9, 10 - Can't tell you why you need these 11 - This would be the basis of the weekend.

1-Yes, if it's worth it. ;D 2-When I don't have school for more than a weekend (spring break, mine is 16th of march - 2nd of april) 3- 2 days (if i'm all the way up there, might as well make the best of it) 4-Just the person who is driving me and maybe a friend or two 5-Hotel, but camping could be cool if there could be somthing like two bases and a battle between the two. 6-Shure 7-If the prize is good 8-no 9-yes, I used to be in scouts 10-I mountain bike, but riding along with a almost 10lbs rifle then getting shot and falling off doesn't sound like a good idea 11-Sounds like a good idea

An event up in TC sounds great! Now....on to the questions: - 1: Yes, yes I would. Though it really depends on the transportation since I currently have none.
- 2: Any would do just dandy with me
- 3: 2 days of course!
- 4: Eh, Doubt they'd want to go
- 5: The cheaper the better, so most likely camping, but in the end it all depends on the weather.
- 6: Yes, sounds like a good idea.
- 7: YAY RAFFLE!
- 8: No Sir, I do not.
- 9: I think I'd ok.
- 10: Nope, don't own any bikes at all.
- 11: Yes!, I really like the mission idea.

I was wondering where in TC. I have a cottage on Old Mission Peninsula, there are some pretty cool wooded area around there. Also, at the end of the skirmish we could all maybe go back there to relax and BBQ or whatever, it right on the water. Also, i have a go-kart, can anyone say, drive by? ;D, not a promise, i still have to ask the folks. Oh, Sickpointe, just making sure u know, im not sure where in Harbor springs u are, but it's about an hour drive to TC from there.

I live on the Old Mission Peninsula! The skirmish site is southeast of town in the Pere Marquette State Forest, off Rennie Lk. Rd. just off Supply Rd. Don't think I'd run around on the peninsula w/ airsoft guns with the amt. of traffic it gets by visitors, hikers, bikers, etc., but then I could be wrong. Plus the site has a built in base (abandoned trailer) and some great woods, hills, trails, and tons of area.

whoops, sorry to double post, JackStraw, our cottage is the first house south of wilson hill, on the bay side, or about 3mi from the TC border, it's a big white house with a driveway on the right side that wraps around the back. There should be a big powerboat parked outfront with a 'SALE' sign on it(hint, hint ) Also, i would love it to be 2days, dont think i would bring any friends, camping, i'll try to see if i can get my parents to give in and we can have the BBQ at me cottage, ummmm.... whatever else i left out, ill just say yes

I believe the count is up to 10 players based on replies here + NATF players (OK, I'm taking liberties with the team thing, so SHOOT ME). Thus far this is what I have: 1 - JackStraw 2 - JackStraw's son/Spud 3 - PimP/RabidRaven 4 - Chewy 5 - Spectre 6 - ammo990 7 - Hado 8 - SiCkPoiNtE 9 - Viking 10 - SilentSEAL We hit 12 and I begin getting things moving. I'm officially changing the name to OP: Northern BLAST. Quick skirmish idea for you pistol-toting fiends....what would you think of a gunslinger contest (paces & shoot). Just an idea, and I could turn it into an OK Corral type of thing (when one team's "hero" is Hit they attack the other team by surprise....should lead to some itchy trigger fingers ;D). Got some ideas for sniper scenarios too. But the mission, oh man, hang on cuz you will never believe it (and some limited NATF know and are lovin' it).

Hey all, not to put a damper on things, but if you plan on playing airsoft on Public Park land, you need to clear it with the park office first.
We have inquired at three parks here in Ohio, and every time it was a resounding "NO".
I really dont want to hear about you guys on the news.
