I am looking at getting a mp5k pdw AEG, but the only batteries I can find for it are the stick 8.4v 600mah. Is there anything else that I can use, because from what I hear the 600 would run out very quick!

With the PDW you are stuck with the 600mah 8.4 battery pack. The other alternative is to use a external pack, then the sky is the limit -Gonzo

Actually, I just checked and the gun only uses 4 AA batteries? Is it any good at all? It says fps of ~280. I am not sure.

what kind of gun are you actually talking about stanfosd? The TM PDW like Gonzo said only takes a stick 8.4v 600mah like my AK-47s, but I have a friend who made his own rechargable battery, integrating cells into every open spot inside the gun. (making it over 10v and somewhere around 1400mah, not exactly sure though)
If you are talking about a gun that takes 4 AA batteries, if you are talking about a PDW, you are probably refering to the mini, and those puny things are pathetic and not worth the buy for any squirmish(especially outdoors).

Ha ha ha!
$90? You can get them at airsoftkorea for $35 (plus shippping of course). Any airsoft gun from korea is just a novolty toy that looks bad and doesn't shoot well. People get them to show off or use them as a prop.
I think that is a mini inside a normal MP5 body. None of the pieces move and absolutly no accuracy what-so-ever.
Back out of the deal, you will save money.

The PDW looks good, definetly not a mini, correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you will need to buy a battery for it, since it doesn't say it comes with one. It looks like A Tokyo Marui gun, but all of the markings are covered and it is hard to tell. The price(around $100) is definetely great too, for a TM gun, but still, you will need to get a battery (and a charger if you don't have one). This adds about 30 dollars for the battery and 20 for the charger onto the price. The shipping of $10 is pretty kick ass too, my AK had $70 shipping from www.redwolfairsoft.com. Still, if you could some how ask and make sure if it is a Tokyo Marui gun, that would be for the best because Taiwan and Korea makes a bunch of cheap knockoffs which do not look or perform as well. Definitely make sure, you don't want to be ripped off.

it's not a TM, Duncan...it's the Korean knockoff version...and, yes...it's an enlargened mini drive system in a larger body.

let me repeat this...that is NOT a Mauri MP5 PDW. that's a knockoff...if you get it, i will personally thwap you. I have nothing else to say...just look at the Guy's site... he's selling a 30-35 dollar TM electric pistol for 100 bucks... haha www.geocities.com/airsoftsalecenter/electrics.htmlheres a quote from the MP5 PDW you wanted to get so much...taken from the guy's site: "This model is a fully automatic version of the MP5-K, another Navy Seals favorite. It uses 4 AAA batteries, so there is no need for special expensive batteries or chargers. BBs are loaded into a reservoir, so you don't have to spend time reloading clips either." oh no! clip evil! and don't forget those 4 powerful AA's... if you want a REAL PDW...a TM....they'll cost you about 220 for the gun, 20-25 for a batt, 30 per hicap, a 10 dollar charger, a 10 dollar discharger (or you can just use a few christmas lights). so it's about 300ish....shipped....plus BB's, of course.
