i had to precisely plant electrical tape on the mags so that they were in snug, but could slide out on their own. you hav eto have a nice xacto knife and electricla tape and you can make anyhing work

That costs money. Most paintball places aren't hip to hosting airsoft events it seems, and they wouldn't make any money off of paint or gas (Which, with my experience with Lone Wolf, they'll gleefully violate your anus on paint prices [$120 bucks a case, field paint only!])

Aye, I've talked to several paintball places. The one that liked it the most and even let someone do it before was LoneWolf and he said he couldnt due to insurance reasons.

yeah that is what sucked about paintball...so much money to play at the indoor places. I have no problem paying 20 bucks for 4-5 hours of play for use of the place and some cash for refs or what not, but the paint fees are what killed it for me
are there any in michigan that are cool with airsoft

FYI, no refs in airsoft. this ain't paintball, we're self governed in both our rules and our games. Someone cheats, they don't get invited back. It's pretty simple, and because the community is so small, your name gets around quickly.
And as andy mentioned, M-40 near Grand Haven allows airsoft.
FLAG will just be playing at our normal field as long as it's not nipple-stiffin'-cold.
