Operation: Mechbox Teardown
When?: 11:00 am, Sunday 22 August
Where?: 21st Century Airsoft shop
What?: A class designed to go over the basics of AEG mechbox operation, maintenance and upgrade.
Why?: If you don't know how it works, you can't tinker with it or fix it if it breaks!
How much?: FREE!
This class is a hands-on tutorial session. In this class, students will be able to see firsthand how a mechbox is constructed, how it works, how to take it apart, and most importantly, how to put it back together again such that it still works. You'll learn which tools make the job easier and how to maintain your beauty once you've got it in tip-top shape.
Attention will be given to the do's, and don't's, what to watch out for, and what time-saving steps you can take to ensure that your mechbox is going strong. Special focus will be given to the how-to's of upgrading various commonly-swapped parts of a mechbox (bushing installation, spring swaps, barrel swaps, etc).
Not just a dry presentation, the instructor (Munin) will be performing an upgrade to a stock AEG during the class. This is your opportunity to see it first hand as it happens and ask any questions. Additionally, if students want to follow along and upgrade their own replicas at the same time, this is absolutely encouraged. Doing is learning!
Where else will you get the opportunity to learn these things in an environment where there are people to ask and all the right tools for the job?
Since this is a hands-on event, space is limited. This inaugural class will have 8 slots open. Members of Team Ninja (who originally requested slots) will be given priority, but anyone is welcome.
See you there!
