TWO THUMBS UP!! Thank you GK for the recommendation on going to this op. It was the best airsoft event that I have attended yet. I got my money's worth by Saturday evening. Sunday was over-the-top. For those that couldn't make it - very very sorry you missed this

Aye, it was a great op. Congrats Dutch and the rest of the folks on Echo Co. for their win. With the exception of the first scenario, we got pretty thoroughly stomped. It was great to see some of the AO crew again, and a special treat to meet some real heroes and play alongside some very capable people.
For those who didn't attend, I would most definitely recommend attending a John Lu event if you get the chance (OP: NW II is fairly definite for sometime next year)...not only is he a great guy, but he puts together one helluva good milsim op. Expect a game style quite different for what you're used to, but very fun no less.

Not enough can be said for this event. As an Echo player and 3rd squad leader we were out numbered and out gunned every single game and we still beat them 3 out of 4 games. This was the first event that Mullins was caputered at ever and Echo did it. Team Strikers of Ohio were a key element to our victors as well as the 21CA players, Dutch, Orton and all of the guys from Echo. We all pulled together and worked like a unit. Special thanks to Munin, Frostee, BigMack, Hadoken, and the other GK members who stopped by to say high and bs with us for a few minutes. Nothing is better than seeing forum discontent abolished when tents go up and the bb's start flying at each other. It is always a pleasure to play against you guys from GK you are great asset to the airsoft community. I also was most impressed with the break out and fall back tactics you were doing after the event.

That was actually something our Lt, Nick Maas of Team Black Omega, suggested for us to "take the next step" in improving our tactical abilities. I gotta say, those guys kicked ass, and we'll be doing our best to pick up and practice with what we've learned from them.

Thanks for the kinds word, Bill. Congratulations to you and everyone else on Echo Co. To everybody that missed it, you really should keep an eye out for Op: Northern Wind II next year, but before you go, find the biggest, steepest hill you can and start running up and down it in full gear to get yourself prepared for that field. ;D MSgt. Mullins and Col. Longrear were both exceptional guys to hang out with and be led by and I hope they return next year, or at least two other capable guys who were just as awesome to have out at the Op.

A big thanks to the event sponsors and organizers for a job well done. It was great seeing some of our MiA members down there, and for those that didn't get a chance to make it.... you really missed out. It was a pleasure to play along side Team Black Omega from Nebraska. Lt, Nick Maas, Puma, Boy Scout, Trigger and Wheezer ( Finally someone even pastier than I am!) were a truely inspirational group. Simply amazing work throughout both days. Even through all the heat, humidity, and goggle fogging galore I had an excellent time and am looking forward to Op: NW II. War stories to come later, but for now - Wallace has some pics uploaded from the event. : www.ez-co.com/album.asp?folder=A20040904 (w/ GK, Bill, and Dutch showing up a few times + Snip grinning like a bastard. Thought we told you to stop that Snip... )
