I'd like to offer my thanks to the organizers for a great time. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, but Airsofters in Michigan are a generous and a genuinely nice bunch. There is nothing like the camaraderie of running a bag of ammo towards a bunker of stranded comrades under heavy fire.
Obsequious comments aside, I would say the reinforcements game was the best, even though I was on the losing team (you know, the one being spawn camped). We made a foolishly considered flag rush right at the beginning, and then the game never seemed to end. At one point, there were only a few guys still in the game, and everyone who was dead and waiting at the respawn point geared up and made a mad dash down our right side. It was a thrill to be running through the forest, firing wildly with around a dozen others (and as it turned out, to little effect).
My brother and I had a good time, but we had to duck out early. It wasn’t the mosquitoes though! You need to get 100% DEET repellant. I left there with only one bite that I got before I applied that stuff. Probably causes cancer or something…
