the only difference i know of is the different look and battery size. Those are the differences. Please feel free to browse around, search, and check other sites for reviews and such so that you might be able to make an informed decision on your own.

English class... take one. I think you are talking about the M4 stock vs. The SR stationary stock. No its not annoying in fact i prefer it. Most guys keep their M4 stocks extended all of the time anyway. Plus with the stationary stock you have the large battery option. Which means its good for upgrades.

the only advatage with the solid stock is the ablility to use a large battery (more MAH), but with the RIS you can get a aftermarket battery case an put and equivilant battery in that. I have a SR16 on order, but have a M4 stock left over from my M4, i may put it on my SR, may not. It comes down to what you like best and what feels most comfertable.
It looks like you get a 1100 mah mini battery (almost double the mah of a normal mini) with the package, that isnt bad but you can do better (3 times as much with a large).

I started with a TM M4 and M203, battery and charger - would have been nice to have extra mags from the start
as for the package, look around and see if you can get a better deal, or if that package has some stuff you dont need maybe you can get them taken out

I perfer the mp5 series but like they said it is all in looks at this point, also depends on the area that you are playing at CQB, or Woodlands, things like that you should look at as well.

If you can get to a store or otherwise contrive to hold some guns before you buy, do so. Sometimes things creep up on you. For example, a gun with a big battery forward in a RIS module will balance differently from an otherwise identical gun with the battery in the stock. You might like one balance point better than the other after you've tried it.

you can get a big battrey in the m4 without getting a ris. They make a tactical handguard flashlight that will hold a big battery. It will hold up to a 9.6 volt(dont advise getting a 9.6 unless you have upgraded the gears and spring).
