Since all stock TM guns are, for the most part, the same in reliability and shooting performance, the AK is no better or worse than any other stock TM weapon(from a technical standpoint that is).
As stated an innumerable amount of times before, choose the stock TM replica which pleases you the most aesthetically. The only major difference besides looks is perhaps the ability to accept a multitude of accesories (scopes, lights, etc). I'm confident you can conduct your own research as to what accesories you may wish to add in the future, and wether what TM replica can('t) accept them.

Wow Phreak that was really informative. As far as airsoft goes the Ak47 is said to be one of the better AEGs out of the box. It’s well built, solid, version 3 gear box (love ver3 gear boxes!), and a nice long inner barrel which makes for a great stock gun or a great platform to build off of when and if you plan on upgrading. However remember stock TM AEGs all have similar performance characteristics the AK47, M16Ax, SR16, G3 etc will all perform almost identical out of the box. I loved my Ak47 when I had mine, as long as you like how they look and don’t mind AK style iron sights your good to go. Looking at those AKs on the linked page to DEN I would say yes they are great deals since the price includes shipping, battery and spare standard magazines. If you do plan on getting an AK I would suggest getting a full stock variant only because you’ll be using large batteries which will give you better performance and the ability to upgrade if need be.
