I've been advised to get Airsoft Elite or Excel BBs. The question now is .25 or .20. Because I have no knowledge I have no clue what to purchase and why purchase .25 rather than .20. Thanks for the help!

You could also use TM bb's. Get .25s...there's a reason they come in the box with new TM AEGs Edit...as to why: .20s will give you more range...kinda. They're lighter, so they go farther, but with a decrease in accuracy. You get more in a bag than .25s also. .25s will give you better accuracy, and a little bit of "punch through the leaves" ability. Range will be slightly less, but if you adjust your hop right, it's not especially noticeable. Overall, .25s shoot better than .2s, but again, there're fewer per bag. So, if you're just plinking, get .2s. If you're planning on skirmishing, get .25s.

Ive been told that .2's dont have the weight that the TM guns require for distance an that .2's are too light and there for cause undue stress on the motor / piston so stick with .25's if it all is affordable and you plan on doing a lot of skirmishing. Its just healthyer for the gun. They come with .25's for a reason is all I can say. I too have the M4 and use .25's.

AirsoftPlayers has a very interesting article about .2's and .25's and the difference they make between stock and upgraded guns.

.23s would be my choice, too. Short on money ATM, so i'm shooting .2s, but when I start skirmishing again I think i'ma go to .23. You get better range than with .25s, and better accuracy than .2. Not a huge change, but still ;-)

We have been playing with .25 ToyTec brand that CA is pushing these days and I have to admit, they look identical to the TM .25 and they seem just as good as excell or tm. Also, we shoot around 1000 bbs per day as well out of a variety of airsoft models.

i use .2 vipers from www.airsoft128.com because they seem reliable to be, ive never had a jam, they are cheap, and accuracy is just as good as with excels as far as i can tell

Ill review the bb's too if ya want me too... -CP
