Ok, why are paint bb's a bad thing? Why do they void the warranty on most guns? I shot a magazine through a WA 1911 (oooooh, niiice gbb btw, real expensive though)) and they worked like a charm. I figure that if one breaks in the gun you have a mess, but what else will it do?

Thats a mess you really don't want. Especially in a nice gun.

Please, for the love of all that is holy, don't ever do that again! Seriously...you're not going to do too much other than make a horrid mess inside the gun. But, unless you want your $200 gun to become a $200 paperweight, it needs to be cleaned out, and it can be a PITA to get all the paint out of there.

Generaly paint BBs are ok to use in springer handguns for the most part, but in AEGs and GBBs the preasure that the spring exerts on the bb in the magazine will usualy bust the bb. And if it doesnt break there it will probebly break when the bb is fired.

And aside from the reasons of breaking your gun by design they have to hard of a shell to break on soft objects which is because they tried to make them hard enough to feed. It's just a no win situation, with normal paintball your running gravity feed and the shell is rather thin. With a smaller object the shell is thicker and generally causes issues. Another issue is likely most fields wouldn't like them, personally I don't want paint on my gear and if I didn't care about that I might even play paintball. There's something to be said about airsoft and not having to clean your gear every day and your gun.

now imagine 3-4 paint BB's breaking in a hicap/midcap/locap mag... then having to break the damn thing down, clean it out, and reassemble.
Paints all liquid....til it gets old...and then its like glue.
not good for a moving part.

Ahhhh, that's about what i figured. Too true about the paintball thing, i have a permenantly set of dyed desert tricolors from when i pball'd. I was thinking of training for my dept, ie. centermass shots, where the rounds hit. for scoring purposes. I know after getting lit up by a simunitions loaded real steel mp5 i couldn't tell you where i got hit first, or when...heh. Oh and it was a display WA gbb in the store, the owner had loaded it. I still want one though.....

After getting lit up by a Simunitions MP5, I'm surprised you could tell what day it was. Those things hit hard.
