Probably, but duct tape works wonders.

It all depends on what lazer, there are several lasers that you can buy than purchase a cheap barrel mount. Testicool had a laser mounted on the barrel of his m733.

Easiest way = tape
Middle of the road = barrel mount
Expensive = Special mounted laser unit (RIS and the numerous other expensive ways to attach accesories to your weapon)
For many lasers, you should be able to get away with using a barrel mount and clamping the laser in, however, if you've a specific type laser, that may not be an option.
Tape with a piece of foam in between is a fairly cheap yet effective way to mount them, though may not be the prettiest looking.

If your looking for a good lazer, purchase a BSA laser from duhnams. I have one mounted on my RIS of my sr-16. Its by far the best laser I have ever used, the laser goes on for over a half a mile+ its truly a great buy though laser's in airsoft are pretty pointless but they look bad ass ;D
