Do GBB's typically use more gas during rapid firing? I've noticed that I can get about 40-50 shots from one charge in my KSC Glock 17 taking single shots but if I'm taking rapid shots that number is reduced to about 25.

GBB do use more gas during rapid fire, whether it be fully automatic or just pulling the trigger really fast. The gas in the mag cools down as gas is released. The pressure drops with the coldness, and the gun releases more gas to propel the bb and slide.
