My first airsoft GBB (KSC G17) was delivered over the weekend. I instantly fell in love and had a great time shooting it. My only disapointment is that the manual that was shipped in the box is all Japanese or whatever. My question is: Does anyone know of a place I could download an english manual for this gun? Or more importantly, the only thing I'm unsure about is the hop-up system. If one of you more experiensted airsofters could advise me on the best way to adjust the hop-up that would be awesome. I know how to make the actual adjustment in the gun, I would just like to know what is the best distance to start out at and how acurate I should expect to shoot at different distances.

Japanese company, Japanese manual. Until someone decides to do a translation... *Cough* Munin *Cough* no luck.
Secondly, there should be two 'notches' just inside the chamber area. they should rotate around the barrel. You should have recieved a small steel tool with your glock. Insert tool into notches, rotate to adjust the hopup.
turn clockwise for more hop, counter clockwise for less.
Accuracy-wise.. you can hit a pie plate at 60-70 feet. more as you become accustomed to the pistol

Actually, instead of 2 notches it looks more like a gear with with teeth making up 2/3 to 3/4 of a circle. Maybe its been changed recently.
As far as distance and accuracy: If I'm hitting a pie plate at say 50ft. Should I be able to adjust the hop-up so that I will be hitting the same pie plate at 25ft? For now I'm more interested in target practicing in my basement and the longest shot I can get is about 45ft.

Yeah, now that i check my 26C, its a series of about 9-10 notches.
So far as distance, the whole idea of hop-up is to put a 'backspin' on the BB...to give it a little more range.
my advice: adjust your pistol to the maximum range....then plink with it with shorter ranges. then you can become comfortable with how your pistol shoots at all ranges.
