replica guns arent banned anywhere else are they? they make great tv and movie props. i know snl uses them and a lot more.
they should have no legal grounds to ban them in any state less they are deamed dangerous on there own. that orange tip is where the law starts and should finish.

miairsoft.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=offtopic&action=display&n=1&thread=4514It's starting, and now being responsible and just trying to keep it a respectable sport is the only way it will not get banned. Keep in mind all the Under 18 year olds parents who would be all up in arms if little Jonny were to get shot by a cop because they thought he a had a real gun. Now of course it's these terrible replica guns fault not the damn parent that bought them the toy that they removed the orange from as they sent them out in the freaking yard to play with. Grr. They can and will ban airsoft if steps are not taken to restrict it's spread throughout younger unsupervised players in urban enviorments. Luke

Look at it this way. Odds are, they won't be banned for adults...but just for kids under 18. Just like real steel firearms.
in effect, as it always ends up, a couple dumbasses are going to ruin it all for you guys.

Mosler, the 'orange tip' is just required for shipping.
here. i just painted an orange tip on my real steel Bushmaster AR-15...is it a replica now? is it safe? should it be legal for me to walk down the street with it? if a cop car passes by, should the officer smile and wave at me and let me to my own business?
Orange tips don't mean jack shit in the real world.
