First AEG I suggest a TM, there was a thread yesterday I think about this very topic. What brand to pick and whatnot, you may agree or disagree but I would suggest reading it.
Also mine is still holding up but it's not a TM so your milage will likly vary. May be better may be worse, your rolling a dice here.

As far as differences [glow=red,2,300]SEARCH[/glow].
As far as how it looks with the stock out, looks fine to me and convienent though that gives you only room for a mini batt which sucks. And especially if it's a JT mini batt. So yeah not bad at all, but I would get an A4 if thats what you want. Later you will always end up regreting not getting it if you like it and get something else.

and how long does the "Mini Battery" last?

Battery depends on a number of different factors, obviously assuming you are referring to the MP5A5 stock. The most crucial factor is number MaH the battery has-that is, the higher the MaH, the longer the battery life. That said, it will boil down to the total number of rounds your going to fire. You *probably* could get an entire day worth of airsofting with just a mini battery, and not laying down supressive fire every 10 minutes. I believe you will most likely get 4-5 hours with a mini during a skirmish, at least, that's about the length of time I used to get out of them.

I think I told you to get an MP5A5? I dont know.
But yeah on battery life, mine lasts easily 2000 rounds and doesn't decrease in velocity until the last shot. That is with a 9.6v Golden Power 900 MaH battery they give you.

Have you counted your rounds? Cuase I have a hard time believing you got that many rounds out of a mini. Maybe it's just me but on a new mini in a stock TM gun I would only get about 1200 max.

Serious, I got down the better part (3/4) of a 3700 round .2 bag with one charge...

On a warm day I typically went all day without a charge in my G36... I've prolly gone through about 2500 rounds, evening my hi-caps off at 500 for calculation purposes.
EDIT : Woohoo, back on topic! Like luke said, get whichever you like the look of better. If you like the slither stock, get it, if you dont, dont... that simple. After seeing how my G36 preforms with a mini, I wouldnt let it hamper my choices of guns. If worse comes to worse, you *could* always buy the regular stock and re-wire the box so you can run a battery out the back ;p
