silencers have an effect that is almost not noticeable. They only look cool. They are deffinitely not worth it unless you really like the look

Depends... If you have an AEG, it mainly is for looks or so you can have an extended barrel...(a barrel that is longer than the stock one),
If you have a Gas BlowBack, it is for only looks, i had a USP that was blowback and the noise of the slide was loud and the silencer didnt do anything
If you have a Non Blowback, it works... My friends JAC m16a1 could support the silencer and it makes it quieter, And my socom it actually silences

hey silencers not only look kool but they muffel the sound and They Can extend the barrel (if u make it) and what i herd from my friend is that the foam filled silencers will also increase the Fpsd a little

THe silencer you can get in two diff variety's. Foam filed and barrel extender. the foam filled does actually muffle the sound. it is noticeable and as i noticed on my socomm it increase's fps a lil. but the barrel extenders are awesome too. more range

ya shrap i noticed it on I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. Socom big time, and from what i gatherd u cant by barrel extenders easy u have to make em, which isnt to hard, just a tightbore (one that is bigger than u need like a m16 tight bore for a m4, and then u but the silencer over it, i my self like the look and i want a m4a1 sd kit bad

Alright, on an AEG, a silencer may dampen the sound. Mostly it will change the pitch rather than actually decrease the decible level. The gun will still be audible, but in an outdoor environment, it'll make it harder to pin point our location based on one or two shots. They have a similar effect on GBBs as well. Since most of the noise you're hearing the an AEG is from the piston and the motor, and most of the noise you're hearing from a gbb is the slide, a silencer on the barrel doesn't act upon very many noise making functions of the guns. There is no expolsion and rapidly expanding gasses to make a boom, so a foam filled silencer doesn't do much. Now, switch it over to a NBB where there is no slide action and most of the noise is coming from the expanding gas and the silencer has some effect because it is acting upon what is making most of the noise.
A silencer really won't add any significant speed on the bb. It may put on a couple fps if it's bore is tight enough to keep pressure from the air on the bb. some will, some won't; and if it does, it won't be much.

Pretty much i noticed that with a silencer on a AEG suppresses the sound of air comeing out of the gun, but you still hear the motor and mechbox..
