SilentEnemy your friend is what the CounterStrike kiddies refer to as a "camper." That is, he picks a spot that offers decent protection and refuses to move from it, preferring instead to plink at people as they come to him.
The solution to this is to change the way you play. Instead of doing one-on-one-on-one games of free-for-all elimination, play some small scenarios. Set up the game such that there are objectives that require movement to accomplish. Otherwise, he's just going to keep camping because it's proven effective in the past.
Not all games have to be about eliminating your opposition to the last man. Try some new games and see how his style of play (and yours) changes.

What kind of senarios do you find fun to play with three people and springers? clear the room maybe? But with two people its gotta be less fun than with five IS there like a list of a bunch of senarios tested to be fun?

Me and my friends just did simple team elemination, Person who gets the kill goes solo. Or we would just switch off, We started with springers with 2 on 1, then got into gas guns 2 on 1, now were playin 2 on 1 with electrics, but we have enough where we add people in and sometimes have 2 on 2, or 3 on 2. We find hunt the sniper is a fun game with 2 on 1. Sniper gets 1 min to go hide, then you chase him. Try some of thoes

I will tell you the easiest way of getting over the fear of being hit. Its a tradition among severl of the Geist Kompanie team. When ever you get a new gun have someone shoot you from about 30 feet.

*shudder* Considering the SAW should be arriving by the end of the week, I can't wait to start that little tradition up again.
