Hi, ive never used a gas powered pistol before, but ive heard that there good. And not costing around $300 like some aeg's r, i consider it a pretty good deal. But theres a problem, i know nothing about gas powered guns so, heres a few questions that could use some answereing. -How the gas functions with the gun (how it works)? -Is there a specific gas and type for each gun? -Do the pistols fire rapid? -What does blowback mean? -Are the glock pistols good, and if so which one should i buy? - And any other information contributions would be greatly apreciated. Thanks for your time, later

-How the gas functions with the gun (how it works)? I dont really fully understand how they work myself.
-Is there a specific gas and type for each gun? TM and KSC take H134A and others take a Higher power green gas. there might be other companys that use H134a also.
-Do the pistols fire rapid? There are some Pistols that are full auto, M11, Glock 18c, G23c, G26c just to list a few
-What does blowback mean? When you fire the gun the slide does what the real steal does to load the next round into the chamber.
-Are the glock pistols good, and if so which one should i buy? I fired KJW Glocks and there sweet, and i own a G18c and its pretty good.
Gas guns DO NOT like cold weather.. I hope that helps ya a bit..

Hmm, i RE my own subject for one reason. bigmack, i dont want to read your complaint about something so small, that u shouldnt even consider it, i didnt make this thread to be called a "noob", im sure many other "noobs" feel the same way, i didnt RE my own subject to argue or dis u in anyway, ive seen your responce to other subjects on the forums, and i respect them. I make it to stop the usless critisism, that wastes space. On another note Thanks for your help punisher and minkey, please feel free to continue answereing my questions. later

Indeed, follow Minky's instructions, they'll lead you to everything you want to know and a lot of stuff that you really didn't.
As for how the gas functions with the gun; you fill a reservoir in the magazine with gas from the can that you'll buy (whether you're using 134a or green gas [for different types of gas and their purpose, consult the gas primer] depends on the gun, what you want out of the gun and the whether). When the hammer drops it strikes the release valve on the mag letting out a portion of the gas. That gas is routed through the blowback chamber that diverts most of the gas forward to propel the bb and some of the gas backward to blow the slide back (blow back) and chamber the next round. You can fire most gas guns as fast as you can pull the trigger. It's not terribly difficult to pull the trigger too fast for the gun to fire both shots, but it should never happen in a skirmish.
KSC glocks are considered top of the line in terms of...glocks. The KJW line is a bit behind in terms of asthetics, but performance is very similar.

Guy at gibralter has fully upgraded glocks with hurricane hi-flow valves installed, oh and kid asking Qs, gas is charged into the gun magazine thru a nozzle on a gas can, and you have to tip the mag and the gas can upside down. Oh and ummmmm... gas CANS dont like hot weather either....KABOOM
