They erase trademarks because it would cost thousands of $$$ to reproduce a replica with full trademarks...or something like that.

One word: Copyright.
To use registered and copyrighted trademarks from another company, their airsoft counterparts would need to receive explicit permisson form the real steel company. To protect their identity, and their property, they would make anybody who wishes to use their trademark, pay big money, typically to discourage use of their trademark in another commercial form. In Asia, their laws regarding this subject are different than ours, making it allowable for overseas companies to use the trademarks, but here, it is forbidden.
Since it is illegal in the United States to use somebody elses trademark without their permisson, the overseas companies will putty over the trademarks, which allow them to be imported to the United States, and sold to us.

1: Call it UN Company, or UN Co...please 2: Yes, you will feel the putty. It's also easily removable, which you'd know if you looked around a bit. Search is a beautiful thing. 3: There was something else I wanted to say...but I forgot. Oh well.

The 'putty' that UNC uses is actually liquid electrical tape. Just look for the line of black goop plastered on your gun.

yeah i had black electrical tape over liquid tape that was over the trades that someone had scratched out completly anyway. I dont know why they botherd with all that crap if they were just going to scrath the trades out anyway.

Your gun came from WTS tho right, HotelSix? If it did, it came from WGC, not UN Co. They destroy *and* cover the trades.
UN Co. simply covers them. My M93R (purchased from UN Co.) came in with liquid tape, which, as stated above was easily removed.

My psg1 from www.airsoftclan.com didn't have any coverings on it , though the orange was impossible to remove . My glock from the former airsoft toys only had some funny fuzzy tape on it .

i just ordered my sr16 from uncompany and it got me pissed cause they forgot to update the site that it was out of stock. so when i ordered it i ordered something they diddnt have. its still on back order but they expext it to arrive at their werehouse next week so i should get it in another week or so but im still really pissed on how lazy they were on not to update the site like that. just thought i would let you all know my experience from uncompany. but with my friends guns the AUG doesnt have any trades anyone have tha too? i mean like no putty either.

Sites don't get updated every day That sort of stuff happens any time you deal with an online retailer. An e-mail sent right before your order just to check never hurts, and IME UN Co. will get back to you within 24 hours, and always provides good info (that's readable too ). About the AUG...I don't recall exactly, since Trauby's AUG has been taken apart for a while now and I haven't seen it, but I don't think it's a real trademark-heavy gun. You may have to look around a bit to find any trades it may or may not have.

I bought my G18C from www.combatclub.net and they covered up the trades with some black tape with a metal on the bottom of it and a little putty. Putty was hard to remove. Then I bought my WA S&W 40F from WGC and they put some tape over the trades that looked like grip tape. Easily removable and was very please with them. Even thought I get better deals from www.combatclub.net have to balance price or looks.
