Hey, im somewhat new to airsoft, iv had several springers. I recently perchased a TM M4A1 Carbine and i was looking through some magazines and i noticed that Classic Armys mags are a lot cheaper that TMs but seemed to be of the same quality, does anyone know if they are quality or is there something bad about them?

I've not read anything bad about CA mags. You might also consider looking into the G&P mid-cap (130 rounds, no winding) mags...which are also cheaper than TM mags.

The only thing 'bad' about CA mags that I've found is that they're a shinier, brighter color than the TM ones.

Well the only thing I have against my CA highcaps is they won't feed anything above .20's reliably. .20's are peachy, then .23's or .25 and I'll be droping an empty piston half the time. Or at least I'll get 5-6 out of the barrel then it'll stop feeding, then if I pull the mag beat it on my knee/helmet(depends on if I'm wearing my protec, your knee gets tired after a while ;D) then it would feed for another 10 maybe. It's been fun with those 2 mags. But I find I don't mind .20's to much anyways and their considerably cheaper so I just run .20's in mine. But I will also say I haven't found anyone else who has this problem with CA highcaps, but I'm still looking:)

I've used a CA 300 rnd. M16 hicap before and MAN did it suck. That was probably around 6 months ago, tops, so unless CA got their quality control up to speed in that amount of time...don't expect much.
However, all I've read is good things about CA lowcaps. *shrugs*

I own a CA G3 highcap that has functioned flawlessly, and its finish is indistinguishable from that of the Marui standard that came with the gun. This is the G3 series though, the M16 mags could very well be of a totally different design standard.
