I have been doin my homework and all i can find is threads about plastic"cheap" and TM v1-5 all metal
I was wondering if there is really a difference
is a V2 better than a V3... for what Reason?

the version 3 is more reinforced than the version 2 so it can usually take a higher tension spring with a smaller chance of the box cracking.
Different gearboxes exist because they have a different configuration of the internal parts to fit to the different body shapes of different guns. Armalites use a version 2 because it fits their body shape. the G36 uses a version thrre because it fits it's body shape.

but stock out of the box with no upgrades its basically the same?
and if your here and willin to answer my Q's do you think a Ak with the v3 with last longer then a TM m16a2 with a v2?

Durabilty between a stock V3 and a stock V2 is the same. you won't notice any difference.
Please note, you cannot swap gearbox versions...so a V3 will not work in an M16 or a V2 will not work in an AK.
There are aftermarket reinforced gearboxes you can purchase for V2 and V3 types. So a reinforced V2 gearbox will be much stronger than a standard one.

V3 is the AK gearbox, V4 is the PSG1 gearbox, and V5 is the UZI gearbox.
