What Sickpointe means, for those of you short on brains, is don't blame the police for doing their jobs.

I've found that the easiest way to get rid of the orange paint on the gun. Is to use nail polish remover. It comes off so easy and it is quick. It wont damage your gun or anything of the sort. ;D

then you unscrew it and either put on a black piece or paint the orange plastic black.

Well what kinda gun are we talking about? If you can't remove the orange, and can't paint it? Seems a little odd to me, do tell the make and model and we'll see what we can do.

then there's no way to remove it short of breaking off the barrel. Is the orange painted on or is it orange plastic?

What kinda paint are you using? That can have an effect on if it chips or whatnot... I'd suggest trying model paint... Works great on my brother's SD5 (bout 2 weeks old, hasnt chipped/scratched yet)

Eh...dunno 'bout the model paint The SD5 is holding it well, but it's definitely getting scratched off here and there...not real noticable, but it'll need re-painting (it'll get heavy-duty spraypaint next time) after it's first full day-long skirmish. I've been babying it so far One good thing about the model paint, though, is that it matches the ABS color almost perfectly.
