I am seriously thinking about purchasing the CA M24. I have been reading many diff. player opinions on the rifle, and I haven't really found any solid reviews on the gun.
Are the diff. between the 2 models mainly cosmetic or are there performance diff. too.
Also, I am planning to keep the rifle spring, so what upgrades do I need to put into the gun to make it preform decent?
Thanks, Gasman

The difference is only cosmetic. The difference between the two models is that the Civilian doesn't have a fluted barrel.
For performance, there's several things I would suggest. -FF APS2 Teflon Cylinder -FF APS2 Damper Cylinder Head -FF/Guarder/Laylax APS2 Piston -FF/Guarder/Laylax APS2 Piston Head -FF/Guarder APS2 Bolt Handle -Guarder 9mm Spring Guide -PDI SPR250% Spring -PDI M24 Hop Up -KM Head/Prometheus/Systema Tight Bore
With the listed items, that should get you a rifle shooting in the low 500's.

I've owned one and I'm fairly sure the differences in the two models are completely cosmetic. As for the upgrades, I bought a 300% drop in cylinder kit for like $100 and it worked great. Nearly 500 fps just by replacing the cylinder.

I bought Strikers M24, and loved it, but sadly had to sell it. Eventually I would love to buy another one, and I plan on using all the same parts that Dutton listed above.

Ok, if I was onyl going to buy the rifle, and maybe two upgrades to start with, which upgrades should come first and how much will they cost.
I was thinking maybe the 300% cylinder deal and a tighbore.

I personally wouldn't upgrade the internals without upgrading your trigger. Because if the trigger breaks... you are stuck with a gun that doesn't function.
And then if you want it to be upgraded... I would get the cylinder, spring, piston, etc. You'll get the power you are seeking and durability, with limited accuracy. After that I'd get a hopup and tightbore.
Keep in mind you'll want a good scope, bipod, and most likely a supressor, none of these are cheap, neither is the trigger, or any part of a sniper rifle for that matter. I only suggest purchasing one if you are truely commited and have the money to invest in it. Heck, even after spending $1200+ on mine it still needs fine tuning to be perfect. It's not easy, and not for everyone, I think you should do a bit more research before jumping into this one.

Yeah I know this thread is dead but I thought I'd bring this back instead of starting my own because some of the question I had were answered in here. As for putting in a new trigger system I've read that the only zero-trigger that works is the PSS2 red zero trigger. They also said it need slight modification to fit so I was just wondering if people could comment on that.

Here's a guide my teammate wrote a while back on how to install a zero trigger on an M24...the pics are no longer available, but you should be able to get the jest of it without the pictures. www.86th.org/?id=zerotrig

Dutton FTW!
Thats an upside to purchasing the Maruzen APS-2 SV or CA M24 is that the upgrades are compatible. +Side to the CA M24 is you can fit a longer tightbore in it than in a APS-2 SV.

Yeah, the great price on the CA M24 is one of the reasons that I chose that rifle, not to mention, when you get it nice and upgraded it looks freakin sweet, in my opinion.
Plus with the lower price on the rifle, leaves you open to be able to spend money earlier on the up's
