I'm having trouble with my spring HFC XM177...
I think the trigger is disconnected from the firing mechanism. The charging handle acts like it has been cocked, but the trigger does nothing. The safety still works. I don't know if this is related to the silicone lube I sprayed down the barrel. I'm afraid to take it apart, cuz I don't want to break it. If anyone can help me or give me instructions to take it apart, I would be much abliged.

for the first time with a new gun (that I haven't taken apart before and NO manual) I trace the gun on cardboard, then as I remove body screws I stick them in the cardboard rlelative to where they came from. I also either mentally or on paper note in what order things came off (sping, then piston, lifted this, then pulled that, etc...) then I take my time and carefully look, lift slowly, pry NOTHING until I am sure it will not cause breakage (what usually happens is you get it partially apart, and then get in a hurry and start prying on stuff and suddenly SNAP! "Oh I guess there was one more screw holding that together. GO SLOW, take your time, take notes. Now having said that, you will probably get inside and find a broken sear or trigger connector. repair parts are not an option, unless you can find someone who broke a different portion of their gun and is willing to sell. this leaves you with plastic fabrication (for the very skilled) or making the gun into a wall hanger, or movie prop gun, or give it to your little brother to run around the wood and play army (yes, yelling "rat a tat tat, I GOT YOU!, YOUR DEAD.........hrmmm kinda like airsoft sometimes)
