Yes we have played there all summer. The land is all dry except about a 5 to 10 foot border around the island where the water was last year... but because the cold it is more solid... you only sink about 1/2 an inch or so not too bad...But everything else is solid

This is Jay from the 37th Gleaming Beavers. We are made up of players from Northern Ohio and the Detroit area. Our main field is in Camden, MI but we shut it down for hunting season so we are looking for events to attend.
Is OP: Island Hunt still a go? If so I might be able to get 2-8 people to attend, it all depends because of the short notice.
Sounds pretty interesting.

The game is still on as far as i know right now, No one has cancled(sp) and if you could get 2 or more that would be awsome! Along with posting on here i am also talking to friends who dont post seein who i may be able to get and right now i may be able to grab about 10 or so. But it would be great if you could join us. Let me know if u can join us and i will PM u the address and u can throw it in map quest.

This op sounds like it's going to be awesome if we get enough guys. For those who don't know, I'm part of TGAS. As long as more than 8 people can play I'm definitely in. So come on, post up, what else do you have to do Saturday....

Well, I've been thinking this event over for the past few days and I've decided to lock this thread.
No offense to the hosts of the event (TGAS), I just feel this event to be a little too hazardous. First of all there has been no permission given to play on the island and second of all sailing off a group of armed men in a highly populated area is just asking for trouble.
Yes, I know you've all been dreaming of a location like this for a long time, and Yes I do understand TGAS has managed to play on the island a few times this summer, but still they were a much smaller group and luckily went unnoticed.
I'd just hate for someone to make the long drive up (or down) for this little event only to run into problems with the Police.
