Hey i am woundering how good the SP M203's are. Like the range and stuff like that. I am thinking about pitting one on my m4a1 ris for outdoor games? Any input would be great.

ross, when i was considering a mini launcher, i came to the conclusion (from research) that they have a effective range of aprox 50 - 60 ft.

I would also say look at the new G&P M-203s, cheaper, full metal and mount on RIS rails... though because they are new i havn't seen any reviews but i am thinking of getting one myself

You're going to get the same range from an M203 as you would from a mini launcher... its not the launcher that gives the range... its the shell. the shell has its own 'barrels' basically...
But all things aside... the M203 is a great addition. be forewarned... the shells are around 1.5-2 pounds each.. more you carry, heavier you are.
The shells are...'touch sensitive' to say the least... i've had several go off in my vest pouches just from running alone.
Effective range... i'd say look at up 60 feet for a definate kill... drops off decently fast... i don't think you'd be looking at a kill if your target is beyond 80 or so.
Its more effective as a CQB weapon than as a field weapon, however... it is the airsoft equivilant of a shotgun.
in my opinion... excellent weapon for CQB. limited use outdoors.

When you buy the Sun Project m203 does it come with a shell or do you have to buy that seperately?
Thanks

Dawg Bait I simply meant by going with the G&P M-203 you would have the metal barrel, etc from the start rather than upgrading the SP 203, and save some money
G&P - $128-150
SP- $140-200 + metal Barrel 100+

Ok - as always get what you like, but the G&Ps come in both M-203, and M-203A1s {long and short barrels }
