I was looking at it as my primary rifle for now and was wondering if anyone has one or has used one before.

Gas as a primary is a bad idea if you live in MI.

What jacko said...plus...if you want to use it as a primary, expect to shell out a bit of cash for several extra mags.

Had a chance to handle the Maruzen MP5K a couple months ago and overall I wasn't too impressed.
The Maruzen MP5K looked great in person. The finish was a lot darker than the stuff you see in pictures online. It felt natural to hold, however the lack of a stock did bother me. One of the features I liked about the gun was its quick takedown, but other than that I saw nothing but problems.
Magazines often spewed out bb's right after loading or when being inserted into the magazine well. When the magazines actually made it INTO the gun, they didn't stay there for long as they had the nasty tendancy to fall out. So if you're not careful you could be running into battle with no mags/bbs.
Another thing to note is that the Maruzen MP5K should only be used with regular 134A gas which won't give you the power or added range a nice charge of Green Gas would on other GBB's. (Using Green Gas on the MP5K will cause nothing but malfunctions)
If your heart is really set on a GBB primary then I suggest you look elsewhere .In the great words of Mikecatt13..."It's just not worth it."

TMP is nice for a primary but beware all gas guns have problems in the cold and this is especially true for the KSC TMP. It was one of the more temperamental guns when it comes to temperature, when it’s warm though it performs flawless. Here is a review from Airsoft Retreeat: www.airsoftretreat.com/features/reviews/ksctmp/I had another review that basically was written by one of the original designers for the real steel TMP who said the KSC version looked identical, felt identical, and function identically. He also went on to say that he thought it was the most realistic airsoft replica ever produced, I’d agree but I haven’t had the chance to hold/fire a real TMP… though it’s on my list of things to do. My own thoughts, best performing gas gun I have ever used. Loudest. Hardest Recoil. Most leet! I had two at one time but sold them when I was strapped for cash, I need to get another some day.
