How is the build quality on this gun?
Does the LAM work on it?
Is the included silencer metal? If not does the gun have threads compatible with any other SOCOM silencer?

This gun is perfect. i love mine to death got a lot of kills with her. any way the build of the gun is perfect. the lam unit light works but there is just a little red L.E.D for a laser. its a metal silencet with foam inside (Silences it a lil)

The silencer or the way it actually works on the gun is about the best thing about the little NBB package. Power/range/accuracy was superb too using Green Gas. Build quality is slightly better than that of the Marui MK23 Springer. It's heavier of course due to the metal magazine, silencer and LAM. LAM looks nice but isn't too functional as a real flashlight, afterall there's only one LED in there so it's not too bright. I bet you could modify it to accept a real flashlight of some sort. (in fact I think there's a guide online somewhere) Silencer is metal. *note, the silencer will not work with the threads on your AEG, nor will you be able to use other silencers on the MK23. Lots of info can be found in our very own MK23 Socom thread. All you need to do is search! click for MK23 Thread.click for some pics of my old Mk23 SocomMe using MK23 w/ LAM to blind cameraman.Edit: Links added.

sweet tokyo marui it is!
Though i hear the KSC blows it away I'll try to save the extra $300 a silencer and LAM would cost.
From your experience would it be possible to remove the flashlight and install a working laser?

Here's a picture of the LAM's internals. www.pbase.com/image/7943531As you can see there is a tiny bit of room to work with so I'm sure you'll be able to rig up something. I wanted to get a cheap little laser from ebay and and modify my LAM to make it a little more functional, but....I sold my MK23 before I got the chance.
