www6.wargameclub.com/pcart/shopper.php?itm=KWA-PS-GM_cat_KWA%PistolsI'm trying to get any information available on this gun, as all I can seem to find is retailer information, which as we all know isn't terribly reliable. I've noticed it at the above link at WGC and at Redwolf, I'm trying to track if it's a new design or rather a knock off of an existing design. Then from there which mags would be replacements etc, and some additional info. For the price it appears to be a decent replica and I trust KWA reasonably, so I've been considering it a decent priced 1911 which fits my bill much more than the WA's I've been druling over and can't justify:) Any information would be more than appreciated, heresay etc, welcome. Thanks. Luke

Trauby has 2 (I believe?) KWA 1911's. They might be KWC, I can't remember exactly.
Either way, if you're thinking about the same pistol, buy a WA. The quality just isn't up to snuff, IMO.
Assuming I'm incorrect...WGC shows the KWA 1911 priced at $49.00...I can't bring myself to believe (as much as I'd like to) a pistol at that price is going to be skirmish-effective.

Well from the little I've been able to track down, it's internally a WA clone. Now I've seen some pics from some kid at ASR that put it next to WA, and it indeed shared enough common components to let me believe it's a clone. But it also is confirmed that it doesn't have hopup, I'm not terribly up to snuff with WA's so I'm not sure yet if it could be retrofitted with a WA hopup or not. But from the looks of it I will be picking one up, for the price it's hard to pass up, as it may be a piece of shit, though if it's as good as the KWA glocks and a WA knock off it's worth a shot. Anyways any other or more info is more than welcome:) Luke EDIT: Found the pics I was looking at earlier for compairison between a WA and the KWA. www.pbase.com/timco/airsoft

Well I've been thinking more and more today that I might order one despite the fact that I don't need it nor do I have money to throw around right now. But it would be a great match to my real steal 1911 which is in dire need of a airsoft counterpart From looking and checking a little online, after some comparing and contrasting when I get one in I may purchase a metal slide and frame from WGC and make a nice gun Grr the sheer ability of airsoft to cause me to spend money I don't have
Luke
EDIT: Well I sent in for a quote for two of these bad boys:) Hell I might even make it in before Christmas as they claim to be able to deliver as long as payment clears tomorrow. Anyhow defiantly expect a review of these as no one seems to know much at all about them. And hopefully things go well, and good luck with yours also Hado, unless that is they suck and then you don't buy one:) bah I'll be the Guinna pig:)

Well I got in my 1911's the other night and I've had a chance to play around with them some, and already replaced the grips on both with real steal grips. I will do a little mini review as to give some info on what I think is a purchase well worth the money. Build Quality: So far it appears to be on par with the WA's I've owned or handled(granted the only one I owned was a Sigma for a week or so) but it seems to be cleaner made than my KSC/KWA glocks, and seems considerably better than my KJW M9. None the less nothing to complain about in any regaurd with looks other than the grips. I hate wood grips, and I hate fake wood grips even more. So as expected I removed those before I even got home with the package(stopped by a few friends houses on the way home). So now I've got a set of Hogue's on one and Pachmayr's on the other. I prefer the pachmayr's by far because the hogue's seem wider. None the less the pachmayr's were a much much easier fit as they had a seperate forestrap which with the Hogue's is integrated. Either way they fit pretty well I removed the weighted plates to allow them to fit proporly. Performance: Per usual I haven't had time to chrono it yet, though as soon as I setup my propane filler again I will(ran out of gas). I've been running green gas/propane through them so far with no issues, blowback is very crisp and I haven't tried 134a yet. Accuracy: I haven't shot them to much yet, maybe 4 mags each, and it's been really cold, so warming the mag then going outside shooting I think let to the inconsistency I did have. Anyways they seem to shoot well, though without hopup they are going to lack much range. I've been shooting about 35 feet or so off the porch with reasonable accuracy though I should be able to attain a WA hopup unit and solve those problems. Or I might just design something simlar from the sigma and make that work. One way or another these guns are way to badass to not have hopup. Overall: Damn good guns for the money. If your searching for a bargain 1911 with good quality look no further than this $50 wonder. They will likely replace my KSC/KWA glocks as my primary handguns to carry. I like them very very very much lacking a better way to put it:) Near WA quality with less then a quarter or so the price, I couldn't be happier with them so far. Expect more as I get a WA hopup or homebrew made and see how it goes from there. But if you want one I can't see any reason to wait, pick it up while they are available. I will likely pick up a few more for extra mags as soon as I can secure the funds. Luke EDIT: Shit forgot the pics too, www.pbase.com/luke21333/ the camera is a little blury though a few of the shots aren't to bad, I guess it's time for a new camera Either way you guys can see the beasts

Luke do u think these guns can handle green gas reliably? Is there performance near or similar to the kwa glocks?
Thanks

Well as far as accuracy when it comes to performance of course hopup is a problem. So I'm not certain what your asking, FPS? If so it seems to be more on par with WA running green gas though I haven't confirmed it yet. It seems to be shooting a little hotter than my KSC/KWA's but I will know as soon as I get some gas figured out. I'm kinda expecting around 320ish but don't quote me on that. Also something I forgot to note is it's not to bad on gas either, about 2 mags of 15 rounds per gas fill, though the last few rounds are a little underpowered. It seems alright considering the size of the mag though, especially compaired to the glocks I've used and own.

Thanks luke.. I am very interested in buying one but the hop-up seems to be my only concern. How would i go about getting a WA hop up kit and installing it? Also do u know where i can get more mags for them cause i couldnt seem to find any of them at WGC. Also it says it only hold's is that coorect?
Thanks luke for all the help

Well since it's essentially a first gen WA 1911 government then all you need to do is source WA mags from WGC. Though you will notice the price is right around what you would pay for another whole KWA gun which is why I would suggest just purchasing another gun rather than picking up mags. As far as the hopup I haven't found a manual yet to figure out if it's possible though I'm considering just designing my own hopup and implementing it myself. Though time will tell and see if I can get that to work.
Luke
Good Luck

It took me quite a while but I placed the order like the 23rd or 24th of December. Got them in a couple days ago now, I gotta say speedpost sucks but I do like the guns so far.
