i am looking to buy a gas 1911 for a side arm. i would prefer a WWII style one. So can anyone give me a good brand to buy?

Western Arms makes the best 1911's, no question.
Check WGC (link to them on the side nav bar on the MiA home page).

Western Arms for sure. My friend has a WA 1911 military - original. It is a very good gun, hits hard and accurate. And now that WA has the SCW why not get one. Also, i know you want the military but i have very good reason to belive that they will also be relasing a series 80 {silver} SCW, yea!

If you don't feel like shelling out the money for a Western Arms model, KWC makes a decent one and at a decent price too.

get the western arms, definitely. i have the original so i'm not so sure how the SCW version is. i'd imagine it'd be just as good

The SCW is definatly at least as good as the original plus a lot of what they have done it make it look closer to the real steal 1911a1, cool
