I've finally narrowed it down. I'd have to say i'm a veteran at springers (now that's a statement.) I've been thinking about getting an AEG for sometime now, but i've decided to get a gas gun first. I've been drawn to the g18c because it's semi and full auto, and you can get an extended mag. I'm brand new to gas, so how many things of gas should I get? Does wolverinetactical sell the g18c with the metal slide and stuff, or should I go to airsoftalanta and order from there? Thanks
and if there's anything else I should get, please tell me (I already have silicone oil)
EDIT: I already have a laser for the rail ;D

The glock 18 seems to be a good gun even though i dont own one personally.i have used it and own its brother the 19. WTS does NOT sell the ksc glock 18c with a metal slide. Airsoft atlanta will be your best and i would recommend ordering their twin set of cans to start with.

Yes you can use green gas. I have had about 2 cans through my metal glock and it still works great. If you become good with the glock and can hit what you aim at you should have as good of chance as the other guy with the aeg.

What should I do for maintanence?
EDIT: I've also heard that it's a gas hog. Quote from my friend, "You might run out of gas before ammo"

It may take a while to get use to but you'll end up winning aegs, maybe.

"You might run out of gas before ammo" Nope the G18c uses gas better than my Full metal KJL Beretta Elite IA that gun 1 gas fill = 1 mag worth of shotting.. I would personly buy the G18c from WTS and then get the metal slide and barrel and i am sure that WTS will instal that kit.. but thats what i would do.. Ross Dawg Bait

Dawg bait i disagree with you. WTS Is prolly going to charge the same price for the ksc plastic glock as the ksc metal glock from airsoft atlanta. WTs will prolly charge you with the extra slide and installation. To save money and time i would go with the one from airsoft atlanta. Go ahead and ask wts though.

Just wanted to throw out a little info which is usefull yet not:)
KSC doesn't make a metal slide glock The only way to get a KSC with metal slide is to purchase a plastic one and get a metal kit, or buy it from a retailer upgraded.
KWA on the other hand does make metal slide guns, there is allot of debate on whether or not they are the same company. None the less it's about the same price for a KWA version with metal slide, though you will not have trademarks on the frame or slide. I have also heard you can find KWA plastic slides, though I haven't seen one yet. Either way the one on Airsoftatlanta and most other sites is indeed a KWA and not a KSC, if memory serves me you can see the KWA logo in the AA pic on their gas guns page, though I could be wrong about the pic either way thats what it is.
As far as I'm concerned the products are so much the same, I haven't seen any real difference in quality, though I do have a Glock 19 and 2 glock 18c's note the 19 is suposed to be a better build quality anyhow, but I wouldn't say there is a noticable difference between the two guns. And in regaurds to that I would suggest the KWA, as it's hard to go wrong with a metal slide for the same price.
Luke
P.S. And just for referance KSC/KWA don't make a glock 19, they make a G19 which is a replica of the Glock 19. So none the less in case someone wants to get technical about naming conventions. Oh and the KSC Glock 19 also does not have real trademarks but rather knock off trades which look simular to the real ones.

It may take a while to get use to but you'll end up winning aegs, maybe. Wait, what do you mean? I want to get an AEG, but first I have to convince my friends to get full auto guns in general

Ross, installing the metal slide and barrel is really simple if you find it cheaper to buy the upgrade seperately. It's really a matter of taking out two screws, pulling out the selector switch and then putting everything into the new slide in one chunk. Also, I've seen two different metal slides available. One with trades and one without. Make sure you know which you're buying if it's important to you.

Is your glock the KSC or KWA one? I would be purchasing the KWA one and I don't even think airsoftatlanta sells green gas.

As far as breaking them on green gas your milage will always vary. But I've been running 2 KSC Glock 18c's for a couple months(well not the last little while) but I've put about 1500+ rounds through each of them. They are both still holding fine, and I've not seen any problems *yet*. But as I said you may be unlucky, my best suggestion to you would be pick up a KWA with metal slide, then you've got a great gun that ready for green gas.
