I was so psyched before my spirits were crushed by the age limitations. Sorry, don't mean to whine.
With ACO no longer hosting events, I hope that they pass on the "14+" torch to other hosts.

what's "kinda gay"? the age limits? On this note, there have been several events planned with a lowered age limit, not one single person that i'm aware under 18 bothered to show. One event was even cancelled due to lack of participation. Why should people bother? I realize most of the under 18 crowd get frustrated with the limits, but as explained in depth, ad nauseum, liability with minors is just too great. Some groups, GK included, have tried to put on events that would include younger people, and no one showed. That's too bad, but i guess you'll just have to blame the lawyers and the complete lack of personal accountability they've created for the restrictions on age.

A assload of people from the 14+ age group showed up for ACO. (Op:Desert Goliath) I know because I was there but anyway maybe if they tried again I am sure they would have success just like ACO did.

That was 1 out of a possible 4 events that were 14+ at the ACO building. This is just my opinion, but it's possible the ACO building might still be open if more people had shown interest in it.

ok, i stand corrected. How 'bout that "assload" of people put on an event? Someone's going to have to pick up the slack for ACO's departure... It's not that difficult, right?

I only knew of 2 events at the ACO building. Maybe I didn't look hard enough, I dunno. I went to OP: DG and had to miss the other one because of ammo limitations (no hicaps). I do not think at all that the age limit is "gay" and Shanksta is an ass for saying that it is. I was just disappointed that I could not attend OP: Asylum because it looked so sweet. The ACO guys had a good experience inviting the 14-18 age group to play, or at the least, I pride myself that such is the case. I am hoping that some group will pick up ACOs torch, go out on a limb, and try inviting the younger players. I am just disappointed that I will have to miss an awesome event like Asylum looks to be, that's. I'm sure that any player refused admission would feel the same. I didn't mean to indirectly provoke a flame war. Sorry. I look forward to the next 14+ event.

Sorry guys. We always try to include the younger airsofters in SLE events, but the Police Department set the age on this one. Check out CODENAME: Dragon and CODENAME: Thunder II (Which will be in La Porte Indiana). BTW this one's filling up fast, and the pre-reg deadline is Wed. Rules are on www.summitlakefilms.com

I live up next to aggressive sports in chicago ridge, and my team was told to come play this event, being that you guys were so close, and we accepted.... then we were told we have to be 18, and now we can't! grrr Are you holding a game at CPX or ROR at all ? I was at ROR paintballing and saw bb's everywhere, and some people said that they think you host games there?

I haven't and will not run games at CPX, and have no current plans at ROR. We do run games at Fox Paintball and some other locations though. Check out www.summitlakefilms.com for more info.
