So, I pulled my Dboys M4 out of my trunk, blew the dust off and took it out to shoot for a bit. I then realized that hey, when I have the selector switch on semi, it still shoots on auto. I'm assuming that this could correlate to an issue with the selector plate, but I inspected it and can't find anything out of the ordinary. Anyone have any ideas? Also, auto shoots auto and my safety works fine. Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

Selector spring is super loose, maybe catching on something.

I would check to make sure the cutoff spring is still there.

Alright, thank you guys for the quick responses. I'll get back to you within the week, I'll crack my gun open when I get time. Really appreciate the help though!

Springs are still in place, and the cutoff lever was in place when I cracked the gun open on like Saturday I think. Installed some shims while the gun was open, then reassembled it and still, when the gun is on semi, it goes auto. At least safety works. It's a shame, since I like to go to the events at No Limits where they make you switch to semi when storming the castle, but I suppose I'll just have to deal and be light on the trigger. Thanks anyways guys, not that big of an issue to delve deep into fixing anyways.

For future reference, the cutoff lever probably isn't catching the trigger trolley enough. To troubleshoot that, with just the gears in (you only really need the sector gear) put the selector plate on semi, then pull the trigger, then rotate the gears by hand until the cutoff lever goes up. The trigger trolley should jump off the track. If it doesn't that's probably your problem.
