Ogre, those are Desert Night Camo parkas. Looks like they shortened them, unless they also come as a shirt length, which I have yet to see.

Yep, we chopped them to be jacket length. Will likely be doing a few more mods to them as well like velcro panels on the sleeves, removing the elastic wrist cuff and replacing it with a velcro fastener etc.

That would be pretty neat to have one fully raid modded. The pants are cool tool, but they are kind of meant to be an over layer, so probably not much you could do to them to make them to be worn on their own unless you have some sweet sewing skills.

Yeah, they were developed in the 1980s and specifically designed for use against Soviet nightvision equipment in that the grid pattern of the uniform was supposed to match with the grid pattern inside the optic. Here's the theory that the pattern is based on.
