Tried my hand at doing some work on my gun (shimming, new tappet plate, new double o-ring cylinder head, mosfet) and now the piston doesn't return all the way forward on semi. Long story short, I suck at being a tech (really disappointed at myself) and need someone to help in the West Michigan area preferably close to Muskegon. Thanks ahead of time!

1. I think this might be a post for the commerce section.
2. If you have an active braking MOSFET maybe it's badly adjusted, causing the piston to stop before it's fully cycled. Just a guess.

OK wasn't sure if it should be in a differ section or not... New to the forum.
It's not a AB mosfet that I know of. I ordered the regular d6 nanofet off of clandestine. Just an inexpensive one to save the trigger contacts.

Generally someone in your position would post something like "WTB: Tech Service" or similar in the commerce section.
The Tech Questions section is a discussion area. And I'll be honest, I have no idea why your gun is doing what it's doing, so you'll just have to wait for some other people to read this.

If it does t return all the way forward, it seems like something is stuck/broken/shattered, preventing it from advancing properly. Otherwise, your wording might be off on what the issue is.

OK I'll put a thread in that section for the tech work. Thanks for the info!
I don't think anything is broken add I've had it apart several times and not seen anything. To hopefully word it better... The piston is cycling all the way but when it comes to a resting position it is engaged on the sector gear. The air nozzle is also pulled back by the tappet plate. Not sure if it's over spin or what might be the problem.

That wording sounds quite a bit more like over spin. If everything else functions just fine, and that is the only thing, then that is probably the issue.

Is there a way to fix overspin?

Stronger spring and short stroking teeth off the pick up side of the sector gear.

OK...another question... Why would the upgrades I made(new cylinder head, tappet plate, mosfet, correcting AOE and re-shimming from factory) cause overspin? Everything else is stock including motor, spring, piston head, piston, etc.

You aren't using a different battery are you? Usually AoE helps with it in and of itself.
To be honest I can't really say for sure that it is over spin, I would have to look at it myself.

Battery is a 9.6 1600mah. Not a Lipo yet. I'd like to get a 11.1 lipo but want to make sure everything is right before I do.
