I heard from my friend who went to Blacksheep at Pine Plains that your headgear must match the basic color of your team, which I think is the only exception for solid colors. No black.

I'm pretty new to this level of OPs, so I'll ask everyone: What sort of extra things would you bring along as opposed to a single day operation? I have the basics down that will get me through a day, but a little advice is always useful.

Sorry my post earlier created mass confusion for a moment. That's what I get for trying to post during lunch from my phone. Somehow I overlooked "gear".
Anyway... I have noticed that a large majority of players in the other Blacksheep videos are wearing helmets. Is this more for the realism look, or more for the protection? I'm not huge fan of helmets, but with the higher joules allowed here, I'm considering one. I really don't like making myself a bigger target just for the look. This is my first big milsim game, so any thoughts would be great. Thanks.

I wear one because I hit my head on shit and can't afford to get any stupider. But I'll be carrying a hat with me for when I get hot.

This AO is comprised entirely out of hard surfaces. You will be climbing into windows and maybe even going through a tunnel. Its definitely not needed, but it sure is nice.

What kind of sling would you guys recommended for an M4? A one point or two point sling? I want something that will reduce strain on my body body as much as possible but still give me the flexibility I need to shoot on the move and quickly switch to a sidearm if need be.

Two-point adjustable. VCAS or VTAC, whichever suits your fancy. Or an MS3 if you've gotta "bust 'em!"

Thinking about having bobhuckins make me a sling, just considering my options. It would probably hold up better than a lot of them out there, then again, WalMart carries Blackhawk gear now.

Thanks for the input on the helmet. I have to wear a hardhat at work all the time, but all it usually does is make me hit my head even more. Guess I'll pick one up, worst case I dump it for a hat like Coldwave said.

3 point slings are the bee's knees. You can sling the rifle over your back or across your chest with the same piece of hardware, undo one snap and it's an effective one pointer. Give it a try. Here's the pack list I put together for my squad, for those who are looking for such.

Impulse, thank you! That's exactly what I was looking for. Looks like I'm not too far off of everything I need.
Also, what are rules on smoke grenades? Or are those going to be on sale at the OP?
EDIT :: Just caught rules on smoke grenades, they must be cold burning and are not to be used within buildings.

Does any squad need a rifleman? I'm going to register soon and all I know is I'm going to sign up for Alpha and I'd like to run with some MiA guys if possible.

PEA GRENADES
I have a large order of Pea grenades coming in, IT was damn near impossible to find them. They are $15 each, I have a limited supply and they will sell fast. Don't bitch about the price as It's not my choice.
PM ME FOR ANY QUESTIONS OR ORDERS. MONEY MUST BE GIVEN TO IN ADVANCE, IF YOU'RE LOCAL TO CLINTON TWP. YOU CAN COME PICK UP, IF NOT I'LL SEE YOU AT BLACKSHEEP WITH YOUR ORDER.

Thanks, that list is really helpful!
When I was looking through the OpOrd I noticed this: f. Only CTS Flashbangs will be allowed - unless you have certification from the manufacturer stating that their fuse is below 125 db.
When I checked Hakkotsu's page, they listed Thunder Bs at "over 130db". That would rule them out the way I read it. That's a bummer since I've yet to have a really good chance to use them...
