ICS Galil AR if it matters, firing it in semi will lock up the gearbox and removing the motor fixes it. Full auto works just fine though.

It locks up? So you hear the motor clicking?
When you take out the motor, do you decompress the spring? or do you just take it out and put it back in?
What battery?
Stock gearbox?

Maybe you are just pulling up at the last second while shooting, try to follow through with your shots. Sorry I man not much help

Do you know where in the stroke the piston stops?

It could be that your cutoff lever is a little tight, it could be sticking. My gearbox had sort of the same issue when I did all the reshimming and such. Try running it on full auto a bit, then switching it to semi and try a few rounds. It might loosen up the cutoff lever a bit, if that is the problem of course.

Seems like Novak's fix did it. It'll still sometimes lock up a little on semi, but that was solved by just switching it to full auto and pulling the trigger a few times (Until it shoots).

Does it sound like your motor is struggling? It sounds to me like your motor is dying. My M4 did that same thing before it's motor burst into flames. Does it act something like this? www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuR98MK7JI0
