So my mp9 has started acting up. I recently disassembled it to install a danger werx threaded end cap. Now after putting it all back together it does not want to work properly. When I pull the trigger, it shoots the first round but the bolt only goes halfway back, jams and bleeds out the gas in the mag until I re-cock it manually. Any ideas on what would cause this? I thought maybe I missed something internally or reinstalled something wrong so I went back to square one and watched assembly videos and disassembled/reassembled multiple times and no joy. After that I removed the few washers I had placed on the recoil spring guide rod to tighten things up, which has always worked just fine and that made no difference. Still the same problem.
Do I just need to lube her up or am I missing some small detail/easy fix?
Any ideas??

How old is the MP9? The earlier versions have a standard NS2 system with a green piston head. These models suffer from broken nozzles because the nozzle body is so thin. KWA redesigned this part to be much thicker and the new version has an orangeish red piston head. If you have a green piston head you may have a cracked cylinder. It is also possible those tiny little nozzle return springs are damaged and are binding up on top of the nozzle. An MP9 I had broke both spring tabs off the breach base and the springs then fell into the cylinder and mangled the whole thing. Try pulling your nozzle out and releasing it and see if the springs will pull it back in all the way. If they don't, you might need to inspect it.
The MP9 bolt is sort of a bitch to take apart. It requires a fairly long and thin punch, and has a few tiny little pins. Hopefully you don't have to take it down.
Did you fight with that little lever at the back left of the bolt? It needs to be pushed forward under the bolt. I would check that the trigger mech has all its pins in place and see if the hammer is easily locked back manually. Check your bolt near the bolt release area. The corners of the bolt release are very sharp and tend to cut groves in the bolt. See if there are any burrs or gouges hanging up there (and round off the bolt catch corners if you haven't). Outside of that lock the hammer down and check that the bolt will easily slide by hand. There could be something misaligned on the tracks.

Did it work before you installed the DW thread cap? If so, then you'd most likely reassembled it wrong. Take some pictures of the internals and specifically pay attention to which type of piston head you have as that can have something to do with it.
I know that most likely that it's not his nozzle return springs as my current Mp9's nozzle springs are F@#*'d at the moment and the gun still cycles fine, it just doesn't look like it works 100% (though it functions 100%). I'm guessing it's either a reassembly issue or the dreaded Part #26 (KMP9 NS2 Series Hammer). I know that even though mine looked 100% fine, when I disassembled it I noticed that the rod was broken and it was only 1/2 striking. When you have it all torn down push on the Hammer and see if the pin that goes through it is intact.
