Hello, I've been out of the game for a couple of years now but was tinkering with my Magpul PTS Masada (which from my understanding is now discontinued) that I bought when I was still active. Unfortunately when playing around with it, what I believe is the piston, stripped, as I can hear the gears spinning and the nozzle still sort of moves if I attempt to shoot it now. I'm thinking I'll try attending some games again so I'm looking to get this fixed in the near future and figured that if I'm going to be spending money on it I might as well upgrade a few things internally while I have the chance. At this time, these are the parts I was considering buying: Wii Tech Hop-up Chamber, Nozzle, BuckingWii Tech Hop-up Adjuster KitSHS Ultra High Torque MotorPrometheus POM Piston HeadElement Piston (This is the only one that I'm confident will fit)I'm also getting some sorbo pads and considering getting some cheap SHS gears though I'm not sure if they are worth it since I'm running the stock spring. In the future I might also consider getting a mosfet. I lack the skills to do all of this and was wondering if there is anyone that could install these parts and tune the gun for me. I live in Orion Township in Oakland County and would be willing to drive a bit to drop it off. If you are available to do this please also take a look at the parts I picked out to be sure that they are my best options and would also be compatible with the Masada's funky V3 gearbox. Please let me know if you are interested and what you think of the parts. Thank you.

Well, first off, i'm quite sure that all of the Masada replicas use modified version two gearboxes. I would love to work on your gun, possibly for free, just for the experience. I have the A&K, but intend to buy a PTS. However I cannot call myself a tech, but I certainly think that I can install those parts, but I do not think I can give an accurate opinion on them.

I know from my own experience that not all pistons are a drop in piece for every gearbox, but can Usually be modified appropriately with a little work.
I'm not saying modification WILL need to happen, but it i something that you might run into.
Sorbo and MOSFET would be a good idea for longevity while it might be getting worked on. And for gears, they are usually fine stock, as long as they are properly shimmed, unless you are going for a strenuous build.
Other than that, the other pieces don't require too much expertise past disassembling/reassembling.
I would be more than willing to help you out with this as well.

It was my understanding that the PTS version using a proprietary V2/V3 hybrid gearbox but I definitely might be mistaken. Do you think that the piston that I picked out would be a decent option? When I was doing research another tech said that most Azimuth pistons are too long and locked up the gearbox from time to time and that Element pistons worked with little to no modification. Do all of the other parts seem necessary? And is there anything I'm missing? Also, if I purchased a MOSFET, this is the one I was looking at: extreme-fire.com/2011-SW-CHEETAH-2N.htmlWhat are your thoughts on that one?

The parts listed should serve you decently.
And I have no experience with the specific MOSFET, but it should be worth the money and serve you well.
My only real concern might be the space for the external inline block, as I'm not sure the room available on the gun.

The PTS has more Battery/mosfet space then the A&K in the handguard providing your using the standard one and not the railed handgaurd. As far as the parts the OP planned to get I agree that will will be helpful, the Hop up chamber for the PTS Masada is kinda shitty so upgrade when you can, though so far I've managed to be consistent in accuracy and range with no hop at all.
