I see that there's some guides for old school load outs (Vietnam, Korea, WWII, Falklands, anything Pre 90's) but there isn't much variety as most of the users that made these threads seem to have moved on and are devoted to more modern gear or have left the sport entirely. So is there anyone out there that runs an old school setup quite often? (Or even if you have one for that matter) I'm talking about anything before the end of the Cold war, so Desert Storm/ Desert Shield seems like an accurate cut off date.
If you respond yes to the question I asked above. I kindly ask you to join in on the thread and let's a have a mature discussion about your gear and it's history because all I see are people talking about Navy SEALS and U.S Army Rangers, not that I have a problem with that sort of stuff but I think it's over saturated in the air soft community.
Pictures of your gear are appreciated!

How long have you been working on that kit specifically and is it your only impression? On a side note, I saw you with that FN FAL on Saturday and by God it was an incredible site to behold. Where did you get it from because everywhere I've looked they're out of stock.

They're all in various stages of nearing completion, and I don't have any great photos at the moment, but I've got the following loadouts: -USMC Operation Frequent Wind '75 -US Army Berlin '78 -USMC Beirut '82 -US Army 101st Abn. Div Grenada '83 -US Army Rangers Grenada '83 -USMC Desert Storm '91 -US Navy SEALS Desert Storm '91 -US Army 10th Mountain Div. Gothic Serpent '93 I thought I was devoted but you seem to be quite the connoisseur! How many weapons do you have to go along with the impressions? One, two, three, four? Or do you just use an M16 as a stand in?

Me and a couple of my friends are aiming '44 to early '45 so we can get a good mix of OD#03 (Khaki) and OD#07. I'll probably have pictures of my load out up by Friday because then I shall be able to show off my new toy, the ICS M1 Garand.

@deltarecon226 Currently I'm solely focused on WWII but I have plans to start an 173rd Airborne 'Nam kit within a few months.
@patriot If the garand arrives by Friday, I plan to attend the annual recreation game. Do you plan on attending?

My A3 won't really change since I need an A4 for my usmc kit.Id like to change the boots,I do have some Vietnam Jungle boots I'm gonna use. But I do need a 1967 butt pack, the knife on the belt? It'd be a tad bulky, don't you think? Thanks for the feed back though. It depends if I have the cash. Edit-No that's way to far for me to go.

The A3 is fine but get rid of the jungle taped mags and mag pouch on the stock - it's fine for current Jarheads in Afghanistan, but not in '91. Also, keep the knife on your shoulder if you must but it's a great way to lose your knife and photographic evidence overwhelmingly suggests that it wouldn't be carried there. In short, it's not very accurate. Also, you don't need the M67 buttpack if you've got an ALICE ruck, but if you'd like to run the buttpack the M61 would be slightly more accurate for USMC due to it's prevalence as a private purchase item for Marines at the time, but the M67 will suffice. Also I couldn't tell if you've got one from the pics, but the nylon JFAK is a mandatory part of the webbing for Marines. Edit - Check this site out: www.desertstorm1991.comAgain my M16 cant change since i ordered my M5 ras.I might just ditch the knife, its too bulky on my side and up on my lbe.Ive thought about running my ALICE pack but too big and cumbersome for rec games. The m61 you say? i might have to look into that.Yeah i got my JFAK.
