I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in Commerce, so sorry if it's in the wrong section.
Last summer I bought an Elite Force 1911 TAC off eBay($130 for the 1911+1 extra mag, seemed like a good deal). However, it's failed me on various different occasions for different reasons every time I've used it, both in cold and hot weather. Now I'm starting to think I should've spent the extra $20 for a brand new one+1 new mag.
Anyhow, these are the different things it's done to me;
1. -After pulling the slide back with a full mag(or with no mag in the gun actually), slide locks back, but slide lock is NOT engaged. Slide stops right before slide-lock drops into 'mag empty' notch on slide. I've oiled the gun twice with 100% silicone oil with no results. A slight tap downwards on top of the rear of the slide instantly lets it slide back to ready position, but is still nonetheless, irritating. Sorry for the crappy picture, it's from my iPod, but here's what it looks like;
Actually, funny thing, while trying to replicate this instance for the picture, the slide locked with the slide-lock in the disassembly slot, and I had to pull the slide-lock lever out to correct it. Would be awesome if it happened on the field!
2. -After first shot, cartridge empties itself out the back of the 1911. This is, as you'd imagine, the most ANNOYING thing that can happen. Not only am I prevented from taking a potentially split second crucial shot, but my position is instantly revealed. Awesome!
3. -One, if not possibly both my mags are leaky, one more so than the other. One will have leaked most its CO2 after sitting in my mag pouch for a few hours after being loaded. Other doesn't go that fast, but never fires more than 2 mags of BBs. If it's an O-ring problem, that'd be great, but I have no way of finding out because I am not tech-savvy and am afraid of breaking something.
4. -Not sure if this is common or not, but when mag's CO2 reaches -almost- empty, all remaining CO2 leaks out. I think this is just a different timing than problem #2, but I'm not sure, as I said I'm not tech savvy.
Anyhow, I'm looking to get in contact with someone who has experience with GBB pistols, preferably CO2, more so preferably Elite Force and/or 1911s... You get the point. I say get in contact and not 'get service' because I am currently short on cash and would not be able to purchase services right away, but would like to have a 'contact' for when I am ready.
For trust reasons, I am looking for someone with a decent amount of reviews. I won't consider anything from 1-Star members with less than a certain amount of posts(unless vouched for by a forum regular. I can trust MiA regulars, but not freshly made accounts with no contacts). I would also prefer to meet at a game more than anything else, but we could work something out. If you fit the above criteria and have experience with GBBs, leave a reply here(preferred) or PM me.
