I have a KWA KM4 SR-10 that I am looking to upgrade and I have a couple of questions.
First of all, I am looking to increase accuracy and range, a little ROF(shooting for around 25-27 bps), all while keeping the fps within limits (410fps).
1. Does anyone know what the stock internals are? I've looked around with no luck.
2. I know KWA's are supposed to be "LIPO-ready", how true is this? Can I run an 11.1 without a MOSFET and expect no problems?
3. As far as TBBs go, is it worth it to get a 6.01 over a 6.03? Are there any downsides to a 6.01?
4. Is the stock KWA hop-up good to go(by this, I mean is it among the top performers on the market?
5. Piston and piston head, air nozzle, cylinder, tappet plate, spring guide...is it suggested that I get new ones?? (Ties into what the stock parts are)
6. I'm planning on getting an R-hop. Input?
7. Should I get it shimmed?
8. Do I need a high-torque motor/does it come with one?
9. Am I missing anything?
Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks guys.

I have a KWA LM4 SR-10 that I am looking to upgrade and I have a couple of questions. First of all, I am looking to increase accuracy and range, a little ROF(shooting for around 25-27 bps), all while keeping the fps within limits (410fps). 1. Can I run an 11.1 without a MOSFET and expect no problems? I've always tin 11.2V Lipo batteries in my KWA without a MOSFET. None of my batteries exceed 1400mAh or 15C, so maybe that is why I get away with it. I've had my gun since 2010, and it is my main weapon. All that being said, a MOSFET certainly won't hurt, and is likely advisable (maybe I'm just lucky). I usually would not suggest a 6.01 for a gun capable of full auto. It's just inviting BB jams. At least that was my experience. I bought a 6.03 Prometheus barrel and it is fantastic paired with the R-hop mod. I thought it was at least average, if you do the r-hop you mention below, it doesn't really matter how it is. I will warn you that their hop rubber is thinner than most and therefor you will have a very difficult time installing any other rubber into there hopup unit. Definitely do this. I did and it was one of the best mods I've done to my gun. I used the stock rubber for my install. I don't think their stock shimming is all that bad. But I may have just gotten lucky with mine.

KWAs hop up units I thought were relatively proprietory, but with an R-hop, it really shouldn't matter.
As for shimming, of all the KWA guns I have worked on, the gears match the gearbox width pretty much perfectly, but it would always be good to double check.
