I just recieved my VFC M27 IAR,and none of my mid caps will fit. I have magpul pmags, kwa polymer mids and socom gear battle mag. Not one of them will lock into the magwell but all of my metal mags fit perfect. Do I have to modify the mags or just buy metal mids?

If I'm correct the M27 is based off the 416 receivers, therefore you would need something like E-mags to fit it. Rumor has it that MAG brand fits the VFC 416 lower, but I'm sure a VFC 416/M27 owner can give you more help.

Mags that are have raised ridges like P-Mags and KWA midcaps won't fit in 416 or M27 lowers. You need stanags, or E-Mags like Deuce said.

For something like pmags that have ridges you will likely have to file off part of the top ridge. I have some original pts 120rd pmags that fit perfectly in my vfc 416 with the top ridge filed off on just the front. As for mags that don't have ridges but still don't fit, just figure out where the interference is and file off some material until the mag fits.

Mag brand midcaps work perfectly in my 416. But yea, unfortunately p-mags don't work at all. I found it so much easier to just buy like 10 mag ones for fifty bucks.
