So the hop up bucking and unit on my 416 and P* have died, so I've been looking for new buckings and units and have no idea what's good and what's not. Right now the only thing I've been told is to use a ProWin hop up unit with a Prometheus purple bucking with my Madbull 6.03 TBB on my P* but I don't feel like spending $50 to get something that won't work so if anyone can vouch for that it would be appreciated. But my 416 needs a whole new hop up, bucking and barrel so if anyone has any suggestions for me send them my way. Any input would be appreciated.

I can vouch for the ProWin, its a really nice hop up. I use mine with a promy purple bucking and a flat hop nub and I easily over hop .30g. Its works really well when you get it at the right amount of hop. As for barrels you wouldn't need to change it if you already have a TBB.

In all honesty you can use most decent style hop-ups (G&P, Lonex, ProWin, Prometheus) and most likely with enough time and dedication get your barrel zoned in correctly with an R Hop Style or Flat Mod install. The real question is if you want to take the time to do so or pay out the ass for someone with experience to do it for you (I say this because even though there's a bit of work for R Hops, the pricing I have seen majority of the "Major" guys do it for in my opinion is a bit overpriced).
Honestly a good bucking, a good hop-up, and an R Hop or Flat mod is all you need. The ProWin is just the preferred method because it has a lot of fanboys behind it (of course it works really well, but I don't think it's necessarily the right price for it as I've seen people do the same job in a Lonex Hop-up for a fraction of the cost).
The ProWin Hop-Up, Prometheus Purple Bucking, Prometheus TBB and R-Hop mod is the preferred method by majority because it works, but as with anything only if it's done right will you see great results. That's not to say other less costly setups won't work as good though. I've found anything besides P* setups for the most part it's not quite as plug and play (I can't swap my P* setup for my AEG setup because I'd have to assume the air between the outputs in the two may be marginally different as the setups act differently in each).

Why does the 416 need an entirely new chamber? I've seen excellent results with a stock plastic Hopup chamber and g&g bucking so I think a big part of this formula is airseal and how well it is all installed. I know a lot of guys swear by the purple bucking but I honestly think results can vary from one gun to the next.

The 416 needs one as its just giving me constant problems such as jams, constant readjusting, etc.

That is most likely caused by the bucking. The chamber itself doesn't really interact with the BB a whole lot, so unless there are some crazy burrs on it or it is totally misaligned in the receiver I don't see why it would be causing the problem. As for adjustment you can just put a star shaped lock washer on the dial to hold it down if you want. As for bucking/nub design choices, everyone will tell you different things since everyone has different experiences with various brands and designs. One thing to note about the R hop is that it allows you to separate the nub material from the airseal material which, aside from giving great range, allows for better airseal since you can use a hard hop up bucking which will not allow as much blow by as the soft material.

I would have to say it's far superior to the Lonex that I was running. Current;y I run Prowin, Prommy purple, I did an R-hop myself, 400mm Orga 6.23 and an HSA M-nub. The results were fantastic. Hope it helps man.
