So I recently purchases a LT full metal PDW and it came with a PEQ box for the battery but I don't like the weight or how bulky and gaudy it looks on the gun so I wanted to know any ideas for where to hide a battery assumably a lipo on the gun. Maybe a vertical grip or something. PLEASE HELP!

A common option is to wire the gun to the rear and either put a battery in the buffer tube or a crane stock.

One solution for the PDW is to remove the faux gas-tube in the front of the gun to make room for a small lipo. See the following: ASCAirsoft SocietyThis battery is specially built for use in the front of the VFC PDW and provided that the LT PDW is the same, you should be able to make it work. From what I recall of the wiring in my old Dboys PDW, this battery should just plug into the bullet connectors that come through the upper receiver to the rail. Pricy for what it is, though. Installation guide from Ra-Tech. You don't actually need to use their adapter, but this gives you a good idea of what you'll need to do to put a lipo in. Hope that helps!

yeah i took the gun apart to find spaces, i realized the gun has the faux gas-tube and took them out and that was my idea. do you know any lipo brands specifically that will fit? a mini lipo 7.4? i was hoping to fit something larger maybe a 11.1 tri-cell?

You may need to experiment. Try searching around for "Ra-Tech Battery PDW" because Ra-Tech had a specific one that they used that fit. I believe it was three thin cells, but I'm not sure. It's a pretty common modification, so you should be able to find some more info on it.

I have a PDW myself, and I thought about hiding the battery in there. The biggest issue of cramming it in there is that you can't get the battery back out very easily. For starters, you can only fit a 7.4v 1000MAH lipo pack in there. 1000MAH isn't really that much if you are using it properly (read up on the 80% rule, or low voltage cutoff (LVC) thresholds). That means you might need more than one battery to play a game depending on how you are playing or where. Some nights I have a blast in CQB and just get up in the thick of it and spam the trigger. Those nights I can easily blow through a 1200 mah lipo. Reality is if you are having fun or are playing a game type that requires a lot of shooting you can very easily go through a 1000 mah pack. Problem is, your battery is wedged in the rifle and will need to be charged that way or partially disassembled to swap packs. Taking your replica apart at the field can be risky as your work surface isn't very contained.
That mod is a safety issue to an extent. Realistically lipo batteries can be very unstable. I won't go into details since it has been talked about all over the web, but you really should store them in a fire proof container just for the sake of safety. More important however, is that you only have 1000 mah so it will be easy to fail the 80% rule. Say you fail the 80% rule, the pack is already puffed but you can't tell because it's in the replica, you just toss the replica in your bag, and the stars align that night and the pack ignites. Bad news. Will that happen? Probably not. But it's a risk. I store my lipos in an explosion proof enclosure (over kill but it was free from work) just for the piece of mind that my hobby won't burn my house down. I know a few people who have had their batteries pop in the house. The houses didn't burn down but they did cause some damage. Just something to think about.
I decided against the mod mostly because 1000 mah sounds like just enough to die when I'm having fun. I ended up getting a PEQ15 battery box and putting a 7.4 1500 mah (biggest that would fit) in it. I wish the PEQ15 wasn't there but at least it is smaller and better looking than the stock battery box. I can't find a link to the battery and I got the PEQ battery box used. It had a shitty red laser that I ripped out for more battery capacity. I'm sure you can find it under "Matrix" or something. The PEQ itself hardly weighs anything and it doesn't get in the way of optics. This setup lets me, if I really really need to, strap any of my other batteries to the side if the 7.4 dies. Thankfully so far it hasn't.
It looks a tad bit different now but this will give you an idea.

I did the same as mentioned above, I used a peq15 box to store a 7.4v lipo. It works well.

they do make a 7.4 2000mah lipo which i was looking at. the peq15 might be something i look into. although i don't like the idea of running them because it detracts from the look of it. never the less safety is seriously important and will have to consider the peq box.

You could always use a Ready-Mag system if you're into that sort of thing;

Try measuring the space where the gas tube was, and check to see if a firefox 7.2 Li-po stick type will fit. These sell on ebay for about $25 and are amazingly reliable. I run one in my AK with a folding stock. Remember you have to get a low voltage detector in there too.
