Hello, I have a combat machine m4 that is over cycling on every shot fired in semi. I want to keep the same fps and I don't care about the rof unless it goes down. The strongest spring I have is a m110 (not in the gun yet). I have upgraded the cylinder to a brass solid cylinder with no ports. My piston is a little is cocked back about an inch after each shot. I the only upgrades in the gun are the brass cylinder, a hummer 1300 motor and a bearing spring guide. I want to know if there are any other solutions to this problem. And if there aren't any other solutions, I would like to know how many teeth to remove to maintain an fps of 315~325.

Was it shooting fine before you changed to the brass cylinder/bearing spring guide? Often times people upgrade parts they really don't need (every G&G CM that I've ever worked on had awesome stock gearboxes and rarely had to change anything really). My advice would be to probably remove your bearing spring guide and reinstall the stock one and see if that helps your situation before I'd really go about short stroking your piston.
